He can and does. Later in the campaign, Percy walks up to a door and just shoves it and it opens wide to a pitch black room. Percy is the only one in the party at that point that does not have some form of darkvision, so all he can see is darkness before him. Grog- Whadaya see, Percy? Percy (without missing a beat)- I see a door that I have conquered.

My favorite thing about watching peoples reaction videos that aren't familiar with campaign one is that they are all coming to love Percy as a character. Where the first two episodes everyone is kind of indifferent about him as a character and then episode 3 hits and they are shocked cause that's how it happened in the campaign. Percy went from being this quiet, cool and collected character to absolutely losing it and it shocked everyone even the rest of the cast.

@@jw__11 Revivify: 3rd Level Necromancy. Resurrection: 7th level Necromancy. NOWHERE in its spell description from 2ae to 5.4e is it described as "Conjuration (Healing)" . The reason is, Healing Spells as usually blocked of from Necromancers, BUT since they are both Neceomancy Spells, In Theory, A powerful Necromancer could figure out how to cast them. This opened the door for Blackmail opportunities, and Cassandra being alive.

Speaking of rolls not going your way, just yesterday in our game we were sneaking into a warehouse and I rolled nat 1s twice trying to climb a rope into a window and again trying to run and jump into the window from the roof next door and lost a bunch of hit points. And yet I rolled really well on my stealth so the guards didn't notice. It wasn't my best moment

Ah, yes, when dice hate you: I, a 4th level half-orc fighter, stepped on tanglefoot/alchemical fire trap and failed the save to avoid it. So I was there, rooted to the ground, on fire, for 5 turns in a row (couldn't make a strength check even with having 20 in strength). I also didn't have anything sharp to cut myself free (my weapon of choice was a warhammer) so the rogue tossed me his dagger and... rolled a 1 which DM interpreted as the dagger stabbing me in the arm (after me failing a Dex save as well). Funny enough, rolling my character and upon level ups I was extremely lucky with HP rolls (10, 10, 9 and 10 on a d10 with a +3 Con modifier). By level 4 I had 50+ HP which was more than all my party members (rogue/wizard, bard and cleric, each either going with average or rolling poorly) COMBINED. So me stepping into the trap actually WAS the lucky part too because after those 5 turns, 30ish fire and 5ish piercing damage (thank Gruumsh I rules lawyered that it didn't count as sneak attack as I WAS expecting the incoming dagger, just not with the blade leading the way), I was still relatively ok in double digits. Any of my buddies would have been DEAD with no resurrection options (cleric only got his revivify at level 5). With the DMs permission I was henceforth known as Mordring the Charred. Fire traps still give me flashbacks, both in tabletop and in videogames but damn I would so much wish to see all that craziness animated. Critical Role cast members are the blessed ones, indeed.
