i think vision will merge his physical body with his "essence" wanda created. and somehow her brother and kids will find a way to exist in the real reality. i dont think they would introduce them for nothing ... we'll see

Wanda didn't really have powers before Hydra, but many people in the Marvel universe have hidden mutant abilities that can come out if they're in the right conditions. In the X-Men Universe, it often happens around puberty. For Wanda and Pietro in the MCU, they wouldn't have naturally gained powers, so it took the mind stone to trigger them.

Feels like there is a link between Wanda and the Stone. It woke her powers, and later ends up in a relationship with it as part of Vision. During the Grief rebuild it seemed like that connection allowed her to create the Mind stone again, while the yellow energy of it was built into Vision. A bit terrifying that someone can just create an Infinity Stone.

If you didn't do the research her children are counterparts of a demon named Mephisto. In the comics Agatha actually had to do with the childrens souls being merged with Mephisto again and killed Agatha for brainwashing her and making her forget she ever had children.

Technically (Wanda's) Vision is just raw energy now, hence his inability to survive outside of the Hex, but if his body goes into the Hex, I'm guessing both 'Visions' will battle, and perhaps Wanda's ability will allow her to merge Vision's energy she re-incorporated into Vision's body, making him actually alive again... But then again considered Marvel is pushing this to roll into Dr. Strange: Multiverse of Madness, we might get a much darker ending in this show, and that merging and bringing Vision back might not happen until the movie...

The interesting thing about this episode is that Agatha kinda sorta assumes her role as a mentor for Wanda here, like in the comics. It's for completely different and certainly not benevolent reasons, but she guides Wanda toward recognition and acceptance of who and what she is: the Scarlet Witch.

That is where I have the biggest issue with Agitha. It's like in the Nolan Batman, ~ you think your boss is a vigilante who spends his nights beating up criminals and your plan is to blackmail them? Good luck~. Agitha believes Wanda to be this mythical Scarlet Witch, a being of spontaneous creation, and her plan is to take her outside of the protective wards and threaten her kids. Good luck. She has engenered everything so we'll to this point. You had her safely powerless, wtf.

@@kenhuff404 maybe agatha doesn't want her powerless right now. agatha came here because she sensed some really powerful magic and wanted it for herself. now she thinks she understands the source of that power, and i'm guessing that the power of the scarlet witch isn't something agatha can literally just take from her. so what's left for agatha to do? she can mentor her. agatha can give wanda the guidance her own coven denied her. that's got to be the most powerful position agatha sees within her reach. and despite agatha's selfish motives, she has been openly sharing information with wanda already. there's definitely a path there. so there's no reason to restrain wanda anymore. if agatha has to restrain wanda, then she's already lost. she needs to gain her confidence. i would expect billy and tommy to go free shortly.

11:47 Actually *Mary,* you were correct the first time. *Scarlet Witch* was simply her superhero name. What we're getting in the show _now_ is just the MCU's way of starting with a more realistic(ish) premise, and eventually trying to bring it back around to be closer to the comic book. I thought it was a pretty clever way to finally have her be known as the *Scarlet Witch.* My interpretation is, given that we saw a figure when she was getting her powers, they are taking a page from the *X-Men Dark Phoenix Saga* and making the power of the *Scarlet Witch* somewhat like the _Phoenix Force._ Perhaps even an _entity_ or _mantle,_ of sorts. I do like how *Wanda* was oblivious to any of _this magic stuff._ Not even really understanding fully what *Agatha* was even talking about. . .possibly even up until the very end it seemed. To *Wanda* this wasn't magic. This was just the power she got after being experimented on. Which is why she couldn't tell *Agatha* anything. Because she didn't know anything. Prior to all this, _magic was for fairy tales._

Her character better have a future in the MCU. I am absolutely loving Agatha. She has some massive potential to do "great" things in the future of the MCU. Could definitely see them go the Loki route as in bounce between good and evil. WandaVision better not be the first and last time we see Agatha. Also, throw in Kathryn Hahn too playing the character. The more I see Kathryn Hahn in things, the more I like her as an actress. So she is another reason I'm loving Agatha. I will be really mad if WandaVision is the first and last time we see Agatha. Like I said, she has potential to do "great" things and could be Loki 2.0 where we both love and hate the character.

@Kian ONeill As the Mind Stone is not present, I expect S.W.O.R.D.. has refit him with a Control Crystal that allows the Director to use a reverse engineered frequency to direct the body of Vision [RoboCop style] until Hex Vision and Wanda disable the Crystal and Hex Vison returns to the body, thus able to leave the Hex. The twins would be dispossessed spirits after the collapse of the Hex. I had a pet theory months ago that the Mt. Wundagore radioactive clay of the Puppet Master could have been used to create mannequins for the twins to inhabit. All roads lead back to Chthon.

This episode very thoroughly gave us the origin story of Wanda, even more than Age of Ultron through Civil War so it completed her backstory. Also a bit more history of Agatha. That was a lot of information but it took up the whole episode. I think I loved it for the story but now I wonder if they can tie up all the loose ends! Or will they choose to leave some unanswered...

I went to Salem in 2016. It was creepy but still fascinating, and that was in the daytime! I saw gravestones from 400 years ago of people killed by a variety of horrendous methods for just being *suspected* of witchcraft.

I thought it was a very heavy on exposition of Wanda and Agatha back stories but I like how they made Scarlett Witch a witch's lore and adapted some of the Dark Phoenix storyline and telling it better than Fox studio tried in their X-men movies. I enjoyed this episode for its emotional weight of Wanda's past and how it connect so much with escapism into sitcom that she shared with her family and also seeing the beautiful connection she established with Vision who help her to ease some of the pain from the lost of her brother. I don't know if you caught the scene before Vision came into her bedroom she was looking at the Brady Bunch where Cindy who is playing with her doll tell her brother to stop saying bad things about her doll but Bobby tell her that her doll doesn't have feelings she is made of sawdust and rags or something... This scene was intentionally put here to drive a comparison to Wanda first connection with Vision to give more layers to how Wanda's world has been formed by sitcoms maybe self-consciously. Marvel made Scarlett Witch a witch's lore not just Wanda's superhero name which I'm thinking will they describe it as a separate entity that was in the soul stone that is now possess Wanda like how the Phoenix force possessed Jean Gray and they might have to do an exorcism in Dr. Strange movie. Food for thought, there will be a lot of request for the Foreigner's song Double Vision LOL

My theory is that Wanda and Pietro were born with the X-gene/mutant gene but it only activated when they were exposed to the mind stone. That’s why they were the only ones that survived the tests, because they were born mutants.

The mind stone isn’t the main source of Wanda’s powers. In that first flashback scene we see that she had a sliver of magical abilities already. The mind stone simply awakened/enhanced what was already there

Pretty sure they’re saying Wanda was born a witch (like Agatha and probably others like those in Salem) but the exposure to the infinity stone is what gave her the chaos magic and elevated her powers (gave her “the big guns”) to have her become the mythicized “The Scarlet Witch.” Now, it’s possible the stone chose her, so this wouldn’t have necessarily happened if just any witch got near the stone. Also, the part with the mind stone in Hydra was what they described but never showed during Age of Ultron (Maria Hill even mentions them being volunteers when she gave Steve a rundown on them) Also also, they hinted at Wanda’s grief causing the hex when Monica talked about how she just felt Wanda’s hopelessness and grief when she was under the influence of the hex

Again and again, this episode was AMAZING and SAD. I was crying so hard the whole time when the words TO GROW OLD IN with V came in. Vision had planned everything for the both of them, a place where they can stay until they grow old. Maybe he tried looking up to some references about couples growing old to give Wanda a happy life together with him, which now will never happen. Also when she said I CAN'T FEEL YOU that somehow relates to infinity war before they were attacked, when she told Vision while touching the stone on his forehead I JUST FEEL YOU. *cries heavily again* Her emotions here, it moved me so much oh my god Elizabeth's acting is W-O-W. If ever she becomes the main villain in Doctor Strange 2, she will be that only villain I don't mind becoming a villain at all. The villain I genuinely understand so much. *Sobs* She just wanted a happy ending of her own with the android who keeps on trying to understand, to the best that he can, her fragile heart and mind. oh god. And now she is about to lose her children too. Sht. *cries again* This is the first show, fantasy themed, that made me cry hard. Usually it's those real life sad movies that does this to me. This is just so beautiful oh my god. Then when she released that huge amount of power, exploding, bro my eyes went hugeee like woaaahhhhhhh! The stronger her emotions are, the powerful she is. And I just wanna punch Hayward right freaking now. All those lies he spoke to make Wanda look like the villain. Fvccccckkkkk. She doesn't deserve this at all. To people who are confused with Agatha's quote, THE ONLY WAY FORWARD IS BACK, it means you can't go on with your future if you haven't accepted fully your past especially the bad and traumatic experiences you had then. Cause you will keep on thinking about it or if anyone accidentally brings it up in the future and you haven't accepted that, it can cause you to go on a mental breakdown, like Wanda. So accept the past sincerely, make peace with it, then voila, you can now proceed to your future. But I have this question that has been bugging me now. Since Wanda already had powers even from the very beginning, and the mind stone just made her waayyyy powerful (not give her powers), how did the mindstone have a connection with a scarlet witch?? Does it mean that there are scarlet witches before her??

I think this episode confirms that Wanda is a Nexus Being. Each universe in the multiverse has one at some point in its history, one and only one. The entire universe pivots around them. They affect probability (such as being able to turn what should have been a working bomb into a dud or surviving being exposed to the powers of an infinity stone). She didn't know she had those powers (being pulled back was Agatha's doing), and probably still doesn't. The Scarlet Witch in the comics is the Nexus Being of the primary Marvel universe, so it looks like this version is the Nexus of the MCU. Did anyone else notice that there wasn't an opening theme this time? Is this because there's no TV show within the show anymore? Who is Fietro? I _think_ Agatha said she couldn't do transmutation on a large scale (she implied it was particularly difficult to do to the cicada, so she couldn't do it to a person), this suggests that she got someone who looked exactly like the X-men Quicksilver, I'm still hoping that's who it is. Who is Jimmy Woo's missing witness? Who is the postman? Who is the bunny?

I actually very much disliked that point in the movie. Sometimes writers bend logic in order to make a story work but knowing that Wanda could have killed Thanos makes that scene very poorly written.

I’m not sure if anyone explained it verbatim, but with one of Wanda’s powers is probability manipulation. She basically made the probability that the bomb would go off less likely and saved them without realizing it. She’s always had this since she was born but the Mind stone amplified it & showed her the full potential of herself as Scarlet Witch

Wanda's powers were boosted by an infinity stone. Strange had the time stone, but it's not what he drew his powers from. So unless he gets a power boost in Multiverse of Madness, Wanda will be stronger now.

In the beginning Agatha is absorbing not only their powers but their life energy. She had powers before Hydra because she's a MUTANT!!!!! Mutants are born with their powers. Wanda is A CONFIRMED MUTANT!!!!!!! :D In the after credits seen, that was the REAL VISION but just the body. I think the fantasy Vision is going to merge with real Vision and that's how he leaves the hex!!

The biggest reveal for me was Wanda genetically having powers before her interaction with the Mind Stone. She and Pietro were the only two Sokovians to survive the Mind Stone experiment……so their genes were enhanced by the Mind Stone……So how many other genes will be activated if her hex goes global? Also, don’t worry about knowing about the comic books. Most of the internet comic “ experts” don’t really know anything either. Hey, Mary! Villain monologue time! Here's my take on Episode 8: Agatha is revealed to have been sentenced to burn at the stake in Salem, Massachusetts in 1693 but not by witch hunters. Her own coven led by her mother condemned her for practicing forbidden arts! She protests it occurred unbidden due to her innate power and pleads for guidance! Rebuffed, she effortlessly wrests power from them all when they attempt to immolate her leaving them withered husks! In the comics, Agatha is burned at the stake in modern times by her own coven established in Colorado called New Salem. The leaders of the coven called THE SALEM SEVEN did the deed. She resurrected despite their efforts. She is ancient and witnessed ATLANTIS sink! Did you notice the intangible crown that appeared over mom's head like Wanda's comic tiara when she poured on the energy? Pietro is revealed to be a fake but who he was isn't made clear. BEWARE SENOR SCRATCHY! Not many bunnies chow down on sparrows! Agatha wants to know how Wanda accomplished coordinating all the fine details of the Hex and takes Wanda on a trip down memory lane. SOKOVIA: Young Wanda and Pietro watch DVDs of old American sitcoms to learn English with their parents. "The Dick van Dyke Show" is her favorite! One family night, their apartment is leveled by a bomb and another one lies undetonated in front of the twins for two days while they're trapped in the rubble. Its blinking light was the toaster's blinking light from the commercial and the bomb is labeled 'Stark Industries'. Old news? Yes but Wanda is what kept the bomb from blowing! She already had latent magic ability! Is she a WITCH or is this her retcon into being a MUTANT? HYDRA: As a Hydra volunteer, she perceives the Mind Stone contained in the Chitauri scepter gem and survives contact with it either because of a PROBABILITY HEX or her MUTANT GENOME. She either extends the hex to Pietro or his own genome protects him. In a flash, she sees a silhouetted figure wearing a tiara that looks like her alter ego. A glimpse of her future? She rewrites the CCTV footage and the encounter is not recorded. AVENGERS HQ: Post-Ultron, we get a tender scene between Vision and Wanda about managing grief that tests Agatha's patience for schmaltz! Lol. Vision was key to helping her cope with Pietro's loss. SWORD: Post-"Endgame", Wanda attempts to retrieve Vision but she doesn't storm the facility and Hayward is accommodating and sensitive! He can't permit interment due to the priceless vibranium that can be recovered but he permits her access to the disassembled body. She is satisfied that he is inert and being treated in accordance with his will. This means Hayward doctored the footage to spin a narrative that focused on Wanda as a thief after her Westview activities became known to mask his off-the-books weaponization project called CATARACT. WESTVIEW: Wanda receives a deed to some property in Westview apparently sent to her by Vision. Did he really send it or was this SOMEONE ELSE'S BAIT? She sees Mrs. Hart, Herb, Phil and Dennis in town, examines the plot of land and generates both the Hex and an imaginary Vision in an outpouring of grief. Everything transmutes to a 1950s black-and-white aesthetic and her hijack of the town is complete! Agatha applauds from the empty studio audience that fronts the sitcom set and finally has her answers! Wanda races outside to the cries of the twins who are being energy-garroted by a floating Agatha who declares Wanda to be a type of sorceress called a SCARLET WITCH or one capable of PARTHENOGENESIS! As far as Agatha knew, such a being is supposed to be a MYTH capable of wielding CHAOS MAGIC! END-CREDIT SCENE: Hayward brings Project Cataract online using the residual energy the drone Wanda returned to SWORD was wreathed in. Vision's reassembled WHITE BODY is on display humming to life which proves that Hex Vision is an imaginary construct and that Hayward has violated the synthezoid's wishes. This is the version of Vision from West Coast Avengers' "Visionquest" storyline who is an emotionless automaton. QUESTIONS: Is Pietro NICHOLAS SCRATCH or a townie serving Agatha? Or is he Agatha's master perhaps MEPHISTO, NIGHTMARE or GRIM REAPER? Was Agatha a resident of Westview already or drawn to Wanda's power from elsewhere? Is Agatha trying to HARNESS Wanda's power or SUBDUE the threat she poses? Has DOTTIE been identified? Where is the beekeeper? Who is the missing witness? Will we ever see 'RALPH'? Will we ever see the AEROSPACE ENGINEER? Is the tome in Agatha's Sanctum the DARKHOLD? Is Wanda MAGIC or MUTANT? Can the TWINS survive beyond the Hex? I'm willing to bet DOCTOR STRANGE cameos in the finale. I think the real significance of finally calling her the Scarlet Witch was because of the fact that Marvel Studios didn’t have the rights to use the Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver names before Disney’s acquisition of 20th Century Fox. Both movie studios were allowed to use the characters because of a loophole: in the comics, both characters were Avengers as well as X-Men; so Fox could use them and call them mutants, but Marvel Studios had to give them different origins and not use their superhero IDs because they couldn’t use “mutants.” So, the fact that they’re now able to more fully embrace Wanda’s true origin is a huge deal!
