this movie has a lot of great things to offer, such as great cinematography, which is especially beautiful in the wide screen of the theatre. Also, the music was sung by daughter of famous Andrea Bocelli. Great dialogue, quotes. Mother Cabrini is a great model for women, as she tries very hard and is humble and lived her examples and her faith. It did not seem long to me for 2.5 hours as I was totally drawn into the story. 👍👍👍

The trailers have kind of turned me off of the film so it's hard to know if I"ll see it. I'm a Tradition Catholic myself (I stick to the old rules, I don't follow the unlawful 'new church' and I attend a Latin Mass etc.); and I felt like Angel Studios pushed the 'patriarchal bad male' message as well as more of a racism message which....on that second part, fine, it's historical (the Irish were oppressed here too when they came as Immigrants and I'm French, I've read how bad the immigrants had it). I saw very little of her Faith in this trailers at all and as a Catholic, that is absolutely penultimate to surviving a day and age like this. Having the Sacraments and a good priest to rely on, having God bolster you through seemingly insurmountable trials and growing in virtue. Being heavy-handed is one thing but they seemed to cut it out completely which...it's literally a movie about a Saint. I felt it was more of a 'racism-Patriarchy' story that people 'liked better' with its more accurate portrayals of the first part (racism); and for people who hate a 'male dominated Church' it served to fuel that to for the feminists. St. Cabrini is not a feminist...not in any sense of the word. I'm just not sure how respectful this film would be of the very thing she is..which is a Saint. It felt really disturbing and off to have that completely ommited from the trailers at all. More of a 'oh yeah she's a saint but focus on everything else!'. Like making a Biopic of St. Joan of Arc and her having her as a Catholic and a Saint being a literal 'byproduct'. For those who don't like 'religion'...well it's a Saint story.....I'm not sure what to tell someone who wants to just separate her from who she is or what she represents. Because you just can't.

I think if you go into it looking for just a good movie...not a catholic movie. But a movie about inspiration, that you'll be pleasantly surprised. It doesn't go deep into Catholicism practices, it's more about her life as a italian nun in 1890 New York City then her faith, even though obviously her faith is the central driving force. Try to go in watching it with fresh eyes and not looking for a theme of feminism/man hating and see if you like the movie for just being a good movie. I did and I'm a conservative man and I didn't find it that preachy or feminist. Obviously if you are just looking for a very traditionally catholic biopic, you'll be disappointed.
