I'm looking to build one of my own when I get it done I'll make a video. I wanted to use it to pump air crete between the wall joists in a cold room in my house to see the insulation difference and noise reduction as it is a room next to a busy street.

I thought about that too ... I'd like to know if the evaporating liquid causes mold. Perhaps put some "anti-mold" agents in with the mix? I also thought about making a wicked thick foam version (like a 10-to-1 ration, instead of 5-to-1 or less) that has practically zero strength that will fill a cavity (for insulation purposes). Say, in the ceiling, where I can get access in my attic? Next question: Figure out how to pump it ... check out Aircrete Harry (or is it Henry)? He uses a pool pump that costs $300 or so.

I noticed you didn't mention the chain in the mix chamber. Did you find it was really unnecessary? BTW, Your initial guess was cool. My experience is that engineers are almost always optimistic.

Curious if you figured on how this method of mixing cement increases yardage? (not familiar with terminology) Meaning if a bag makes one brick , and you mix in the foam, does the volume or area significantly increase as well? Would you then have enough mix to form 2 or 3 bricks? Also will most any dish soap work? Does it have to be Dawn or can somebody use a similarly formulated generic? Love the clips!

Little Dragon is more expensive in part because it comes in nice box, and it has a liquid pump for the foaming agent. That means the foaming agent is being pushed into the air stream, not pulled (as in the Foam Mate), if I understand the physics correctly.

I wouldn't waste your time with the five gallon bucket I built one and the bucket couldn't handle the pressure that's why the little dragon uses a separate pump.

That sounds like a low price to Rent one of those retail foam machines for One day... No telling how much work you could do in the useful life of this homemade device... Not even counting that, since you made it, you already know how to fix it, IF it breaks. I'd call it a bargain, at twice the price.
