I always get something of value from your content. Your demonstrations and explanations in quite a few instances can't be found anywhere else online. Always much appreciated Greg. Blessings to you 😇

This is true. Greg, you have answered my question. I kinda understood what you meant a while back about churches, but now you brought it home, and I couldn't agree more. Stop using go betweens; talk to him directly! Most of the other stuff is pure pageantry. And church goers can be huge gossipers. It's a shame really. I've actually disallowed all gossip in my house quite a while ago. There's no need for it. When you gossip, you're keeping that negative thoughts and emotions alive. Quit breathing life into rumors and gossip.

Correct! West Texas is quite windy. 10-40mph on average and lets not forget the sudden wind gusts up to 60mph or more out of nowhere

I appreciate your knowledgeable. Enjoy listening and thinking about what you say. But that last part of this video is the best part. More people need to hear this. We are here to build each other up. Not gossip. Gossip is a sin. For me it has been easy to push away from people. Because of this. I find it to easy to isolate myself because of peoples tongue. I appreciate you

I like the Berger 85.5s a lot but the thought of running them at 3300 fps in a 22CM makes my right eye twitch. I like to play around with ballistic calculators because I’m a nerd and it’s interesting to figure out where the inflection point between speed and BC is on all of these bullets. In most of my rifles I find that running them somewhere below max pressure, maybe 5-10% is the sweet spot for accuracy and consistency. Pushing a bullet past the max can get you more velocity but like you said there’s a downside in brass and rifle life (and safety), and from what I’ve seen even accuracy sometimes. My running theory is that higher pressures can cause weird stuff to happen as all of that extra gas exits the muzzle with the bullet. Great video as always.

Timely video. Nightcrew is fixing to release a video and i already know they gonna say the speed is the only thing that matters.😂. Hope they see this. Great content, greg. It so important to understand context and take personal biases out of it all.

Awesome content as always 👌 i run the 85.5gr berger in my 22x47 lapua and it's such a sweet bullet to load and shoot. Wind reading is key

What would be fun is to run hit percentage using applied ballistics WEZ analysis. Wind deflection, range uncertainty, velocity SD, group size all considered to get you a hit percentage

Just got loaded up in your 6 PRC Primal. 105 Bergers at 3301 fps in a 20 inch barrel and the accuracy is phenomenal!

Ive been wondering what your thoughts are on how to choose a propper cartridge for a short barreled rifle. Say a supressed rifle one intends to backpack with on a coyote/deer hunt so trying to keep the barrel at or below 20". Do you prefer an overbore cartridge like a 22 creedmoor or a 22 primal? Or do you prefer a highly efficient cartridge like a 22 bra or 22 arc? The discrepancy between these two types of cartridges requires totally different types of powders, how does that affect the choice in a short barrel? Thank you for sharing all your knowledge so we can learn from your experience.

Regarding the 22 Creedmoor, I would have liked more if you looked at the Hornady .224 62 grain ELD-VT. Hornady has informed me that they will be producing 22 Creedmoor ammunition in about a year with this bullet. The informed me that they have given the 22 Creedmoor an exclusive to the company named "22 Creedmoor" for a year as I understand it was either developed or co developed by that company or that it was in association because that company built rifles for the 22 CM initially or promised t build them

Amen. Started watching for ballistic information but that was not the most important message in the video.

The elephant in the room says start with primer flattening
@308guy84 күн бұрын
@travisweldmaster7815 I use a micrometer in front of the extractor groove to measure the case before and after the shot. Flat primers don't always mean pressure. I have 1 gun that flattens the primers on factory loads. I was curious how everyone else looks for pressure

I don’t shoot anything smaller than a 6mm. Time to reevaluate that. Thanks for your message.

I would add another variable. The person behind the gun is the weakest link, and always will be.
