Can resource assignments be copy/pasted or otherwise entered on cells that do not occur within the Start/Finish date range? How does P6 handle that? Also, what happens when there are empty cells (working days) does P6 assume 0 units/$ for that day? 16:29

🔴Regarding copying/pasting assignments outside the date range: ✅No, you cannot directly copy/paste assignments to cells outside the activity's Start/Finish date range. P6 enforces this restriction to prevent schedule inconsistencies and maintain data integrity. 🔴However, there are workarounds: ✅Extend the activity's date range: Before copying/pasting, adjust the activity's duration or shift it to encompass the desired assignment dates. ✅Split the assignment: Divide the assignment into two parts, one within the original date range and another for the desired external dates. ✅Copy/paste resource details: Instead of the entire assignment, you can copy/paste the resource information to the desired cells. This creates new assignments with the chosen resource, but you'll need to adjust dates and units individually. 🔴Handling empty cells: ✅No, P6 doesn't automatically assume 0 units/$ for empty working days within the assigned date range. Empty cells simply indicate no resource usage on those days. @planningP6 #PlanningP6

We are providing paid service (We after the service with the high cost and the cost will be decided after checking the system and server)

Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. I have a question. I currently have P6 version 16.2 installed and I was thinking of uninstalling it in order to install version 23.12 for desktop as well, so that I can take advantage of the "Check Schedule Report" tool (a tool that is not available in older versions of P6). But I am afraid that when I uninstall it, all my schedules that are in the database organized in my EPS will be lost. Can you think of a solution, please?

It is not necessary for you to remove the 16.2 version. Before deleting or switching to the most recent version, make a copy of the database and store it. Configure the database (which you already stored) after installation. It is recommended to export all projects as a single XML file in case the database is lost. This way, all of your projects will be secured. Important Note: Work on the copy while maintaining one original database file at all times.

You must enter a new password when creating a new database; if you are connecting an old version of the database, enter the password. (Which was created with the Database) Open a WhatsApp conversation with the Planning-P6 support team, and we'll work together to resolve the issue.

if you are getting invlaid user or password error when you create database should capitalize user name exp admin = > ADMİN your problems will be solved

The user’s name and password you enter when creating the database will only be used for login, regardless of capitalization or small letters.
