India, was actually lots of different Kingdons and Cultures. The British made India, one entity. Because it was good for business. And after Duleep Singh father died. The British plundered the whole Sikh Kingdom. The British didn't just steal the Kohinoor diamond. The British stole the whole Kingdom and even kidnapped the young Duleep Singh, the last Maharaja of the Sikh Kingdom. The British robbed Duleep Singh, and the Punjab people of their entire wealth and refused to return the Kohinoor diamond. And they kept young Duleep Singh, isolated as a child. They cut him off from his family and people. And in 1847 the British dragged his mother from the Palace pulled by her hair and murdered her. Duleep Singh, never gave up his fight for justice and freedom of his people, he wrote to Queen Victoria, asking for the freedom of Punjab. And Duleep Singh, even asked Queen Victoria, for the return of the Kohinoor diamond. Queen Victoria, didn't reply.
