Went to my bow shop today. Shot the Form. Walked out 30 minutes later having ordered it in Morel. Excited for this one. Keeping my Carbon Era for the time being, but the Prime will be my workhorse come spring turkey. Great videos! Helps having these reviews along with the bow shop and test shooting. Thanks!

Hybrid carbon aluminum is absolutely a smart move, and can be a win for bow companies to lower weight. The carbon tubing use here is understandable, but aesthetically I can't get there. Good effort anyway and love to see new efforts!

I have zero worries about the durability of the this hybrid technology. Ferrari and Porsche have been adhering carbon fiber to metal for decades. High end bikes have also been doing this for years. I believe it if they say its "bullet proof".
@curtissmith878915 күн бұрын
Absolutely spot on. This isn't new technology. I myself having carbon fiber bicycles, the cycling industry has been doing this since the 80's. The archery world is like what's going on here! Every high performance auto, motorcycle, and bicycle company is saying, been there done that.

After watching the review of the Black Mamba 33 on this channel, and ordering my own APA Archery Black Mamba 33 in LH 70#/28", all other compound bows look chunky. Been shooting it for two weeks now, it's one sweet arrow flinging machine.

First of all, do you sell that hoodie? Also, wearing glasses, do you have to use any type of lens in your peep or sight? I need something, just not sure what.
@ArcheryTalkVideo14 күн бұрын
If I'm shooting a target bow that has a scope/lens, I'll use a clarifier in my peep. But for hunting bows, I just use a regular peep. I don't have a super strong prescription. I definitely wouldn't drive without glasses, but I can read a book or my computer screen without them...at least for a little while. As for the hoodie...I had this one made five or six years ago just for the videos. It's the only one.

If the bows have specific draw mods why not make a 31"or 32" mod? Long ata without long draw. Silly.

I really like the Prime products, especially their bows. But I'll probably skip the carbon-aluminum hybrid trend.
@ArcheryTalkVideo15 күн бұрын
I get that. The main benefit is the weight loss. If that's not a big deal for you, the RVX is still a fantastic option.
@curtissmith878915 күн бұрын
I wouldn't dismiss this. This is old technology. High performance autos, motorcycles, bicycles, aircraft and other products have done this for years. Greg Lemond was winning the tour De France on a bike constructed like this in the 80's. I'm surprised this hasn't come to the archery world before this. I'd would like to shoot it, no doubt.
@Albert-Duz-It15 күн бұрын
@@curtissmith8789 In principle, I have nothing against carbon. I'm just not a fan of constructing a bow from more components than necessary. Especially with components that were glued or screwed together. In the last 20 years, I have unfortunately seen too many things come loose or break that you would never have expected.
@curtissmith878915 күн бұрын
@Albert-Duz-It understood, simplicity many times is the best. In this day and age it's harder to come by. If people knew how much aerospace adhesive glue was used in aircraft's they'd never fly again. All materials can fail. Welds break,corrosion, not a friend of metals. Galvanic corrosion especially when using two different metals. With 40 years in manufacturing ,bolts, screws and glues have excellent service life.

@@ArcheryTalkVideo Have you seen the bows made of Magnite? They're even lighter. Xpedition has a 35" bow that's 3.9lbs. Their 31" bow is 3.69lbs. Lighter than all carbon at a price point of $1850.
