Send your beloved leader, Jacinda, to Australia for a while mate. She's so bloody awesome I have no doubt she could quite easily run both countries with her eyes shut. Our gov is being very unfair to Aotearoa at present, and we don't like that! #FirstNations #Maori

Don't be fooled.. she helped downplay this in December and January when it was very clear China was on lock down and this was very severe virus. Planes still come in from China every week and we never had any screening or protection at the boarder. Jacinda wanted the tourism industry to survive but now all industry's have come to a grinding halt, people have lost their jobs, the economy is taking a big hit because we let the corona virus in. We're doing so much better than some country's but we have only had our first death yet. Totally preventable flights should have been stopped long before our very first case

Praying has never accomplished anything . The only thing praying does is make the person doing it feel like they've actually done something that helps . Prayer is just about the most useless things ever invented . If you think I'm wrong , then please explain how in the world prayers actually does anything to help at all . It certainly won't stop tragedies like this from happening again and you know this . History proves this to be true all the time . If you are truly sincere about wanting to protect other people form horrors like this . We should vote out the leaders that can't seem to condemn this acts of hate and only want to foster divisiveness . And vote in the people who aren't on the gun lobbyists payroll and have empathy for their fellow man and have no hesitation condemning acts of hate . Taking action is always more beneficial then kneeling down and thinking wishfully . If there is a real actual god to pray to ( which there's no good reason to think there is ) it doesn't seem to be listening .

David Galilee Yes, but our first female PM was pretty poor. Jacinda Arden in NZ and Margaret Thatcher in the UK may have been at opposite ends of the political spectrum, but they are/were both charismatic leaders and competent managers of government business. Gillard was none of those things. Worse, when she was found to be incompetent, she blamed her failure on misogyny and because the idiot Abbott was a convenient foil, a significant minority of Australians believe have convinced themselves this was true.

Been there almost every year since 2005 - nothing beats it. Great people - cultures - food - activities - environment. You can be skiing in the morning - and bungee jumping midday - and then taking a trip to a rural town to get a massive feast down your gullet. If you're planning on ever heading to Australia - scratch that and head to New Zealand. Australia is a good holiday destination for its beaches - but New Zealand is just better in every other category. Nothing beats Maori hospitality - and nothing beats their humour and enjoyment of life.

I should hope young boys are taking note, too. I don't think young girls should be taught to identify with someone just because they might have the same genitals. I wouldn't tell any daughter of mine to look at Hillary Clinton as a role model just because she has a vagina. I'd much rather she tried to take after someone like Bernie Sanders, for all that he's an old white man, because he'd have done more for women and people of colour than she ever could, so it's about ideals as much as idols.

She is an amazing leader and the woman I gladly put my vote down for a year ago. So far, she has kept nearly every single one of her promises in parliament and was even criticized by other politicians when she was pregnant at the time. But like a boss, she continued to work saying that pregnancy is NOT a hindrance and went on traveling the rest of the country getting work done. She speaks for the lower class families and we are proud to have her run NZ.

@@johndonwood4305 I don't know how you came to that conclusion. How does that not equate pride? Also that's a very low estimate for migrants. It's probably much higher than that. Sydney Aus has 4.5mil in just Sydney. I feel like you think you're making a point, but you're really not.
