What a trip ! With another Corker from Limerick still to follow. In my 3 days in Galway, I didn't have a bad pint ,many being real creamers, the least good being in my hotel bar. However , where I rate the best pint was on my trip might surprise a lot of you!

Another top informative vlog mr mutton, how much is the average pint of Guinness in Galway? Also which pub chain in Britain would you recommend serves the best pint of Guinness you have tasted ?
@primemutton7 ай бұрын
The average pint was around €6 often slightly less than that. My favourite in Britain is actually not Guinness , London Black Porter at the arch house Bermondsey .Nearly everyone who goes and tries agrees with me .
@vincebirch7607 ай бұрын
@@primemutton ok thanks mr mutton,Bermondsey is along way from the West Midlands,are you saying you never drink Guinness in England/Scotland or Wales?
@primemutton7 ай бұрын
@@vincebirch760 ah I misread the question and didn’t see the word chain. You can by the way get london black at the wolf in Birmingham. I’m not so big on chain pubs tbh but spoons do sometimes have interesting cask stouts on. What I will say though is that the vast majority of pubs in Britain serve poor to terrible Guinness . For that reason , unless I’m reviewing or know somewhere that’s good in a part of Britain I don’t go to that often (I often go to Manchester London Bristol and trans pennine areas) I stick to pale or brown ales .
@primemutton7 ай бұрын
@@vincebirch760 I do go to pubs in many parts of the country when going to away games , but often when that’s the case it’s hard to get into some pubs and plastic glasses can taint the flavour of a stout.

The whole woe-is-me impoverished back story and how Peggy had to ‘flee’ Ireland is comical 😂 Just as much as them living in the slums of Manchester, more like a private estate! 😅 But of course, they had to sell the public the BS backstory in order for them to be more relatable to the masses. They were industry plants.

i was born in Dublin , but now live in the south of France. I absolutely adore seafood ( I do a lot of fishing )and I absolutely love Oysters. At this time of year, especially over the festive period, tons of them are consumed. The reason I commented, was to say , that white wine, as an accompaniment with Oysters, is nowhere near the taste of Guinness !, Yes Guinness ! I buy the draught cans in the Supermarket. I have suggested this to some friends and they were always sceptical . Probably due to my origans and penchant for Guinness. however, when they did try Guinness, the were overwhelmingly surprised and unanimously agreed that it was excellent. So satisfying to show the French « The Irish Touch! »😊
@primemutton14 күн бұрын
I suppose it’s a bit down to individual taste and the Guinness at Moran’s is indeed excellent. But I find that stout is a drink I can’t really eat with. But one question here, do you prefer the oysters from the Atlantic coast of Ireland or those you get in France?
