If it were possible to create superhumans like Homelander, you'd think that some of the scientists involved might just question the wisdom of running brutally cruel tests on them as children. You know, bearing in mind that they're _super-powered_ and will be adults one day, with memories of all the horrible things that were done to them growing up.

@@siddharthgupta9801 For some reason I have to post this a second time; it disappeared. Any outcome resulting in such horrifyingly gruesome and agonizing deaths cannot be said to have worked out "pretty well" just because the very, very predictable determination to exact revenge took a long time to materialize. "Pretty well" is avoiding -- not delaying, but _avoiding_ -- such a horrific outcome.

Honestly this past episode made Homelander an even more empathetic character. You basically cannot even blame him for becoming evil. Not only was he tortured his entire childhood, but they purposely psychologically abused him and broke him so he would obey. For the record, I'm not agreeing or absolving his actions. But I think it's important to understand that you can hate someone for being a monster, while still acknowledging it's no real fault of their own.

Man Anthony Star knocked it out of the park here. I really wished they edited this scene differently. It’s the most interesting scene of the season but when it only delivers a few minutes at a time the tension deflates. I think this would have been an iconic scene if they had made the last 10 minutes of the episode stay on this sequence from when Homelander arrives to when he leaves. Let the tension stew like Breaking Bad or Better Call Saul
