cool aquaponic solution . thanks for the videos. how long do you expect the bamboo to last in the water before it rots? are the rafts buoyant enough the weight of the rice plants will be a lot which is fine for the first half of the growth cycle but how will you make it dry for the second half? and when will you make the sawmill? and how will you transfer from the wheel to the saw? i know the methods but cant decide which way you will use.

This guy is one of my almost-three-year-old son's and my favorite survival channels. Everything you see in this video, except for the torn shirt and his shorts, he made from scratch out on site from harvested materials there or from the surrounding wilds, with tools he made the exact same way (including the iron/steel tools which made his own anvil and from smelting local ore-bearing rocks using rocks as anvils and hammers, and an ax that he made the same way previously). While I've seen other people do technology progression, this guy does it while hunting, fishing, gathering, and using subsistence agriculture and aquaculture to sustain himself. In other words, I agree with @J K , the guy running this channel is an ABSOLUTE LEGEND for doing all of that while doing a brilliant job to catch it with adept cinematography and editing. I hope more people see all the videos of this channel. It is impressive, admirable, encouraging, interesting, and soothing to watch all at the same time.

I would consider looking into the Mexican equivalent of this, called Chinampas. They use reeds for flotation, which might be a tad more stable over time. They're also known as some of the most productive agriculture out there, with highly fertile soils. Interested to see where this leads!
@loislara69912 жыл бұрын
You might check out the origin of Mexico City and how it started. Very similar process, it's pretty interesting.
@Alowne2172 жыл бұрын
Mexico sure is a wonderful place historically, sucks nowdays it is filled with bad things tied to it like violence and drugs. Which isn't really everywhere but it is there more often than not. Also I'm from brazil and I went to mexico for 3 months just to travel and consider maybe living there and as brazil being for the most part known for the same things, mexico is actually just slight better, at least economically and culturally while brazil lacks everything else or just does it poorly. Mexico is growing and becoming better and better, that is something I saw clearly there.

Please consider making a sheath for your machete/heavy knife (dao ru'a ?). A belt-carry, or shoulder strap sheath. It would free up your hand to steady yourself or the load you are carrying. It would also guarantee that you would always have it with you (no leaving it behind because you forgot), it would not get lost/misplaced in all the underbrush/forest floor debris ..... AND, less chance of you stepping on it with your bare feet !! Injuries in jungle climates can get infected quickly. Potential future video topics: "How to treat injuries in the jungle" - Primitive Medicinal Plants of the Jungle.
