Some of that was genius, some was funny - but some was just true divadom. Him celebrating his homophobia over misinterpreting a lyric in "Bad" was hardly iconic though, he was just a prick. Prince's homophobic and bible thumping nonsense really put me off him in more ways than you can imagine. Compared to other stars, he hadly very little respect for fans seeing them only as cash cows to be milked. The Temptations song "Superstar (Remember who you are)" sums up his Diva attitude well.

That wasn't homophobia with the "Bad" story. The line implies that Mike was gonna whip Prince's ass and Prince wasn't having it. Prince had the right to turn it down. Plain and simple - nothing at all homophobic about him turning down that song as the song itself has nothing to do with homophobia either😉. And by the way, I love BOTH MJ & Prince's music and wish they had collabbed on something because they were really good friends outside of the cameras and media. Peace and Be Wild.
