Grande's dead-pan delivery is wmusing, but he is far from objective in his analyses or even his descriptions. His snide comment, for just one example, about MM's not being an actress is very subjective and, many would argue inaccurate. The acting world is hugely competitive, and it was a very significant professional achievement for MM not only to have held a featured role for seven years on a globally-viewed cable series good enough to be a favorite of the Waleses, but also to have starred in two feature-length films produced by the prestigious and very fussy family-oriented Hallmark Channel. She also maintained a relationship of nine years, married in the last two years, to a man who was very happy with her and distraught at their breakup. I think the Harkles are devious, deceitful, and manipulative, but the Palace, including the BRF, are no saints, I don't think the BRF per se had anything to do with planning Diana's death, but it conveniently prevented the princes from possibly growing up under the influence of the disdained Fayed family and us vulgar Americans, if Diana had moved here. There was voluminous evidence now buried from public scrutiny but not at the time that Diana was assassinated, if anyone cares to research the evidence. Harry doesn't make all false claims--he is accurate when he says that Catherine, Fergie, and Camilla were all ravaged by the media but that the coverage of MM often reeked of racist stereotyping, as in the headlines about her being out if Compton, whose residents are demonized as simply members of a crime-ridden ghetto. Not only was Compton not MM's primary area of upbringing, but it is the shame of systemic racism and classism here in the US that anyone subjected to life in poverty because of a lack of access to decent shelter, healthcare, employment, education, nutrition, protection from police and fascist brutality, and protection from a discriminatory legal and penal system should be blamed for their being own victimhood. Grande may be accurate in some of what he says in some videos, but his clear enjoyment at his skills in mockery and sarcasm carries him away and makes one wonder what master he is serving.

This was in spite of their horror at someone inquiring about their future baby’s skin tone, with the obvious implication that the question had racist motivations. If they indeed do not think his family is racist, why did they allow this narrative to play out for many months, including in his grandparents’ final days, and even accept an award as having fought against structural racism? The trauma Harry experienced was the same as what his brother experienced with the death of their mother. But Harry took a different path, one of self-pity and self-indulgence, the "poor wittle me" mentality that was recognised by his narcissistic wife and she took advantage of his weakness. I can see that a lot of it has her hand in it. She's extremely cunning and manipulative; still is. The complaints about not having a bigger house/castle and other material comforts while they were still living in the UK were all hers. She was disappointed that she had married a minor prince; she thought she was getting more. So she decided to exploit the RF in another way, a way in which she's been more successful, by kneading and rolling Prince Harry in her image. I wouldn't be surprised if, some years later, she'll tire of her whinging, boy-prince, and she'll throw him aside. A truly disgusting, pathetic pair! Their poor children.....

Couldn't Diana send Harry the message directly?) 2) His mother is now magically guiding him from beyond the grave since she is finished guiding William. 3) He wanted to see his grandmother so he could "protect her" and make sure she was "surrounded by the right people"--as if he had the ability to do that. When I saw Harry titled his book "Spare" I immediately decided I wasn't going to purchase it or read it. I also immediately thought it was really sad that the one word he chose suggests he's actually jealous of his nephews and nieces BC they've pushed him down even further in the line of succession. I don't know how someone can be born into this institution while seemingly holding onto the idea of being King one day and not understanding how unlikely it would be, at any point in his entire existence. It's honestly more sad IMO to be born the heir BC whatever your plans for life are don't matter, you're raised to take the throne and the only way to get away from it is to quit the only life you've ever known. Harry and Meghan had every opportunity in the world and all the money they could've wanted to make dreams come true, but they actively choose to be bitter, make their own lives more difficult, and make the lives of their children more difficult. IMO it's not a coincidence that Meghan has intense conflict with all her family members except her mother and then that seeped into Harry's family as well, isolating them both.
@sbee278 Жыл бұрын
The only reason Meghan doesn’t have a conflict with her mother is cause her mother had abandoned her and only recently entered her life. Her father raised her all by himself and paying for all her expensive classes etc. she completely cut him off as soon as she was associated with harry. Her father begged her to talk to him but she didn’t, he got a stroke and she still didn’t!
@bunnymad5049 Жыл бұрын
I honestly think she dumps anyone not useful and, the royals had never been part of her plan of usefulness. Her grandiosity is such that she saw them as nothing more than a hindrance to her next step, so they must be eliminated, like everyone else.
@MarisaAndChew Жыл бұрын
@@bunnymad5049 I agree except I think she thought she was going to marry her prince charming and then get to rule the kingdom like in fairytales and not have to work etc and instead she found out it is a very strict institution that tries to do philanthropy work while remaining neutral on nearly every other societal topic. When she realized she wasnt getting to be called "princess" and that she had to actually work and not within her passion of "acting" (term used loosely for her) she felt trapped. Doing stuff like having a baby shower etc she was attacked for and instead of educating on different country traditions she decided to play into the victim stuff and make herself appear to be attacked no matter what she did. From my understanding the UK tabloids were rather racist towards her, but she continued to fuel the flames of drama to get noticed. Her drama sold so if they didnt have anything newsworthy they went on the attack. It's like the picture of her hiking with her dog after she left and was in Canada, she appears to be smiling but then also sued them for invading her privacy. Sorry you can't have it both ways, you can't smile for a camera and then claim your privacy is being infringed on in that same photo. Similar to her dad, she could have ignore him, or chosen to call him but instead she wrote him an official letter knowing full well that he was selling their every interaction to the highest bidder. IMO she wanted that to be published and then she once again sued. I am sure the Queen was devastated that she had given her blessing and allowed the marriage and gifted Meghan and Harry titles and positions. I think the Queen was happy that Harry was seemingly in love and that it would be a good move to bring a foreigner into the immediate family to show progessive growth in the right direction. Instead, that backfired and I doubt we will see the blessing of King Charles for anything similar for a very long time...
@bunnymad5049 Жыл бұрын
@@MarisaAndChew Yeah. All that too - only one thing - the Queen (I learned somewhere) actually gave her permission to keep working as an actress if she wanted to. Although i dont think harry tells the truth very often, i do believe his story about struggling to accept his moms death. My mom died when I was 4 and I convinced myself for awhile that she had to tell us kids that she died because she couldn't tell us the real reason she had to go away for awhile. I remember mentioning my theory to my dad and he told me that she really was dead, but I still didn't believe him. I was just a little kid. Eventually that turned into me frequently imagined her ghost walking through the doorway. I'd stare hypnotized at doorways all the time, convincing myself that she'd walk through if I thought about her hard enough. It never happened though, of course. I remember doing it for the last time when I was about 14, I stared at the doorway for like 30 minutes until I finally lost it, sobbing for several hours. I think that was when I finally accepted I'd really never see her again. It took me 10 years. So Harry's story about his mother makes sense to me.

I understand and feel for Harry's underlying thought or "hope" that perhaps his mother really wasn't dead. Someone in my life passed suddenly and there was a close-coffin service. I knew he had passed, but it all seemed surreal, so a small part of me kept thinking, "Perhaps he isn't really in that coffin, and perhaps he isn't really gone." I went to high school with a girl who lost her dad in a car crash. It was very sudden and unexpected. She was devastated. Just 6 months later her mom died from breast cancer. This was all before she finished her freshman year in high school. My niece died of a rare cancer 5 years ago. My son died a year and a half ago. Cancer. "H" needs to realize that he doesn't have the monopoly of grief. I'm very sorry that Diana died, and how cold Chuckie was to his boys. And to go through all of that in the public spotlight must have been soul-crushing. Countless people have lost either one or both parents. MeeeeAgain is a snake in the grass...wearing Diana's perfume on their first date, dressing and posing in the same way, etc... He needs to grow up. Great video, Doctor Grande. As usual!
@itsjustme8554 Жыл бұрын
I agree with you. I do think "H" definitely does not have the monopoly on grief as you said, and it would not surprise me that he married a toxic social climber since he's a well known wealthy prince before they met. I will add the likelihood is that most people who marry into a very wealthy royal family, are in it for money, connections and/or fame. Prince Philip came off that to me and so does Meghan. That whole thing about Prince Philip saying in interviews that he would have rather stayed in the royal navy than do royal duties, I just find to be likely false. I mean, he wasn't forced to marry her plus he cheated on her. Also, who in their right mind would rather do hard work in the navy than do royal duties? It just seemed false to me. I would have respected him if he was more truthful. If he instead something like, "I was in the royal navy. I did "x, y and z". I appreciate everything I learned there, but eventually I wanted to move on and learn new things. Royal duties gave me that chance, plus it's both easier in some ways and harder in other ways than what I was doing in the navy". There are others I feel this way about based on things they've said in interviews as well. Catherine also seems this way since she was supposedly in more than one class with William when they were teens. She also was almost nude during some kind of fashion runway school project or whatever it was at their school and Will was there to see it. What is the likelihood of her being in more than one class with him? Why did she choose to be practically naked for this school thing she was apart of? I'm also going through things like an rare genetic disorder (undiagnosed)... Homocystinuria. My sternum is bent inward, I have the highest myopia someone can have, and was in special ed for several years... literally several and usually made poor grades. Yes, I can read and write but I'm still "slow" and haven't had the nerve to end my suffering. I also have obvious end stage cancer and even had a test confirming it in a way but don't have health care and haven't had Normal health care since I was around 24 or younger? on my dad's insurance. I've also had traumatic experiences with a handful of Severely toxic people. My dad has end stage prostate cancer and has clear signs of parkinsons. He's missing many of his teeth, his eyesight is worse than normal, and he can barely think/talk. He can't stand or barely stand or walk. He's bed ridden and has to use a bed pan and sometimes he uses a portable toilet instead. He's 77 and will be 78 in April. I also have an uncle, my dad's brother, stabbed over 200 times and his grandfather was also murdered right after winning money while gambling. He was hit on the head with a blunt object. I'll just leave it there. I think Harry needs to see that there are worse things he could be experiencing. For one, he's lucky he can see the best doctors and due to both connections, money but also his appearance... he won't have to worry about prejudice or at least not the kind I have or anyone I know.

What is considered a normal symptom of denial in the immature brains of children (that the dead parent will return), would be considered pathological in an adult. Given that Harry recently said that he believes his wife can communicate with his mother on his behalf and that his mother is presently and actively using Meghan from beyond the grave as a means to help him learn the right path to take in life; it certainly appears that Harry has indeed become stuck in the process of working out his grief over his mother's death. So I think it is distorted thought processes more than his wife's greed and narcissism that is the motivator behind the relentless and ever changing messages Harry has been trying to sell in all these interviews and "infomercials".

I'm sorry for your loss - they say losing your child is one of the worst bereavements. I'm sure losing a parent as a child is just as hard. Denial is a part of the grieving process however to be stuck in that stage is failure to accept death. He's a great example of how psychological disorder is not just a problem for the individual, but radiates out from them affecting the lives of many others. Especially so when the individual has the influence and resources to fund an international media campaign in order to do so. Yes, a 12 year old stuck in the familiar "I didn't ask to be born, it's all everyone else's fault" condition. If he ever did have any therapy it was evidently a catastrophic failure.

Great comment. It sounds like Harry is stuck in processing old grief. His never-ending talks, the docu-series and now the book all point to a feelings-equal-facts approach, with fill-in-the-blanks shadow-boxing. That is turning out to be detrimental to others and will ultimately hurt Harry himself.

I have been critical of Harry and his wife. But I can understand his position given that the British Media is literally working as the communication office of the Royal family. They have been constantly demeaning Harry and his wife while portraying William and Kate positively. It is safe to say that the Royal Family is working hand in hand with the media. So it is understandable that Harry felt betrayed. Harry, Meghan, William and Kate were living in the same palace at first, but only stories about the Sussex were being leaked`Coincidence? I doubt strongly.

I heartily agree with your assessment of Harry’s delusional condition. What first drew my attention to this was a phrase he used during one of his interviews (I think it was the engagement interview, or a similar one at that time) with a member of the media when he mentioned that he knew Meghan was the woman for him because “all the stars were aligned” or something very similar! Grown men going on about stars being aligned and that sort of nonsense is not a good sign of someone in full possession of his mental faculties. It is in the same vein as “seals singing back to his wife”. My assessment of him and most of what he has said recently is that he does not need a therapist but a fully blown psychiatrist to delve more deeply into his delusions and paranoia.

The sad part is that he can't recognise that family and friends tried to talk to him but because they told him Meghan was a difficult, rude, bullying, gold-digging narcissist he wouldn't hear it. He wants them to admit that they were jealous of the way she outshone the lot of them and apologise for deliberately trying to bring her down to their level. He fails to mention the benefits he’s had from the RF press machine: He wanted to be more popular than William,so poof, they took an arrogant, moody, morose, iil-tempered prince and transformed his image into Mr. Happy, Playful, Every-Guy. So much so he was second most popular royal. He wanted the reputation of soldier extraordinaire, so poof he became pilot/soldier/war hero, when he was none of them. He was made into founder of the Invictus Games, when it was his grandmother’s staff who was asked to come up with something Harry could star in on an international stage to make him feel important. He laid claim to each of these as his own accomplishment and continues to do so to this day.

I had my suspicions about that! @@Ignirium can’t paste a link. here is a section of an article. “Howard built his career on being shocking, edgy, and fighting the establishment. With his strategic move to become a more well-rounded entertainer and open his door to new fans, he's simultaneously tossed aside his old ones... for better or for worse. RELATED: How Howard Stern's Producer Accidentally Almost Ruined His Show Many would argue that Howard's evolution is actually a good thing. As Howard detailed in his masterful best-selling book, "Howard Stern Comes Again", his creative evolution was also a personal one. Meeting and marrying his second wife Beth was one of the catalysts of change, as was his divorce from the mother of his three daughters. But his near-endless time in psychotherapy is what caused him to spend more time looking inward and realizing that he has said and done a lot of things that have actually hurt people. Howard would agree that many of his older bits were downright hilarious and did exactly what they were meant to do... but they didn't bring him happiness. They didn't make him feel as though he was a good person. Ever since moving to Sirius Satellite radio in 2006, Howard has made an effort to find the middle ground between edgy or inappropriate humor and something that invites more people to the party. The change of venue also dictated this change as it made little sense to keep pushing the medieval censorship rules of terrestrial radio on an uncensored satellite program that doesn't bow to cooperate advertisement or concerned parents.”

As the clinical psychologist I also agree with you that Harry is stuck at the age of 12 and I think that he's mad that the family saw Megan and disliked her. And from a family experience similar to this, it's hard when the family doesn't like your spouse. Because sometimes the family can see what you can't see about the spouse and then either you need to leave and be with the spouse or you need to listen to your family because sometimes they will see what you can't see. This usually ends with tears, Because your family would usually not steer you in a wrong way and they will see if somebody is abusive to you. Harry's refusing to accept that the family saw that Markle was a con artist and they just didn't like her. and he's trying to shove her forcefully down their throat and make them forcefully like her, which is not going to happen. He's trying to reunite with them and make them happy family that accepts Megan and that's not going to happen
