Prince was probably the most talented person of the 20th century. Seriously. Man could play 20 different instruments (his electric guitar skills were insane) and was a master of singing, songwriting, dancing, and lovemaking. He was the reincarnation of Porfirio Rubirosa. A latin playboy endowed with a ladykiller so extraordinary that they literally named the restaurant-style pepper mill after him. Unafraid of social mores, Prince pushed the limits and... Okay, that's enough. I'm an atheist male who refuses to pray to any deity but... I posthumously worship Prince to this day.

I wish you could have met him in person and sat down with him during the latter part of his career before he died. My wife and I were fortunate to do so. He would have respected your beliefs. Whereas he accepted the impact of his celebrity status on many, he didn't vibe well with people idolizing him. While in our company he literally told someone who referred to him as a celebrity to rather "celebrate the craft, not me. But worship your Creator who blessed me these talents- Jehovah God"

Yes he danced and designed most of his cloths. Prince sang and played every instrument on his first two albums. Having known him personally he was beautiful inside and out . He has my love and respect as long as I draw breath. #peaceandstaywild

His live performance at the Superbowl was something else. He was told by his team that there was a huge downpour of rain and lightening and they asked him about canceling the show he said you know what I want. I want it to rain harder. He performed it anyway. The dancers in high heels were sliding all over on the stage and all the electrical crew and others were worried about getting electricuted... Prince did not skip a beat... Definately one of the top Superbowl performances ever!

Over time I've developed huge respect for Prince. The comparison to Michael Jackson was probably natural in the 80s, but ultimately Prince is quite different. Stylistically more versatile, writer, multi-instrumentalist, producer and performer. An incredible talent who could take a minimalist idea and turn it into something very exciting. And please, get your arm checked. One never knows about long-time issues.

And you should see the video just to see one of his best videos and his style. Note that although it shows Wendy playing the guitar, it is actually Prince himself playing that. He could never play that opening chord of Purple Rain the way she did on her Ric, and she could never play his rhythm guitar masterpieces live the way he had in the studio. Note, by the way, this this is a masterclass in minimalist funk that does NOT have a bass guitar (or synth bass) in it. Few would even attempt that; fewer still could take it to #1. And by the way, when this song was #1 in the summer of 86, the #2 song was Manic Monday by The Bangles, also written by Prince.

So many songs. I would have to say the enormous amount of songs out there thus far that you can stream and and that were on his albums, that output is probably less than a 10th of what this man wrote and recorded. And I am NOT kiddin. Google it for yourself- several sources reveal that in his vault are stored about 8000 hidden treasures from him socked away in there just waiting to be handed to the public. Back in the late 1970's Warner Bros studio had no idea that they were about to unleash a Frankenstein's Monster onto the world. A little Monster named PRINCE

One thing Prince mastered, was silence. Unlike the "wall of sound" big from Motown, Prince would put pops of silence, which keep you glued to the song. Way back in the days of iMacs, I used the first guitar riff and "kiss!" or "oooh" whatever he says at the very beginning, as my computer "you did something wrong" sound. Wish I could still do that.

I have just subscribed in the hope of more Prince reactions 💜 He’s my favourite artist of all time. The greatest all round artist there has ever been. I saw you react to Joni Mitchell. Did you realise Prince was a huge Joni fan? He went to see her when he was about 15 years old and used to write her fan letters. He loved her. He covered ‘A Case of You’ many times. In 2002 he recorded it with him on the piano and it was on his beautiful piano album called One Nite Alone. Definitely worth a listen. He also covered a short excerpt from the song at First Avenue in 1983 … that’s my favourite 💜 just search Prince, A case of you, and both the ones I’ve mentioned should come up. Prince could do everything. Write, play multiple instruments at virtuoso level, sing close to 6 octaves, he could arrange, mix, engineer and produce all his own music. His first 5 albums are just him on his own. He could dance, act and was a businessman running his empire. He was also a fashion icon and a very very sexy man too! If I could choose the perfect man, it would be him. A truly exceptional human being. More Prince please 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 just a warning …Princes catalogue is so vast, you could be down the rabbit hole for years! He released literally over 1000 songs and that’s only about 10% of what he wrote! And that is the honest truth.
