Prince William flies Apache gunship after King Charles makes him chief of Harry's old Army unit

This is the moment Prince William takes off in a helicopter after he was made leader of an Army unit by King Charles.
Charles has made Prince William the leader of his brother's helicopter unit and didn't even mention Harry during his speech in a major snub.
Charles, 75, met with William, 41, in front of an Apache chopper as he officially made his eldest son the leader of Harry's former helicopter unit.
The monarch was spotted arriving at the Army Aviation Centre in Middle Wallop, Hampshire, in a rare joint engagement for father and son.

He must have a licensed pilot in the aircraft at all times if he wants to fly. I know this information because my husband is a flight instructor/ jet pilot for 50 years. 20,000+ flight hours over the course of his career so far. He has flown in the US as well as Europe. So yes @juanitamiller9529 is absolutely correct. My husband actually was training at a facility several years ago here in the US where Harry did some training while he was in the service. Harry’s reputation at that facility was dreadful. His instructors say he was “goofy, lazy and not serious about studying like he should have been. That’s the kind of “ hero” harry was and is.

Hugo Vickers is an extremely sensible and knowledgeable commentator on royal matters, and he is an extremely civil man so may be being excessively polite, but if he seriously believes that M was genuinely interested in Commonwealth humanitarian issues before she met H, he is deluded. Certainly she went to Rwanda, but it is pretty clear that it was a retrospective photo opp to get 'humanitarianism' onto her CV to make her a more suitable royal girlfriend. She never had any genuine interests in any of it, and the proof of this is - what has she actually done? What achievements or enterprises has she instigated? What does she do now? If she were genuinely interested in it, she would do it, as much as possible, regardless of being in or out of the RF. But she has done nothing since Rwanda. She only does photo opps, for effect. She never drills down into anything.

1. Harry was a gunner, he NEVER flew an apache helicopter. 2. The then Prince of Wales Charles had that role as the next monarch, now to be passed down to the now Prince of Wales, next monarch. Harry would not have been given that role had he still been a working royal. Sorry but I have to disagree with you on this point. The role of Colonial In Chief is held by the Prince of Wales, Charles, as C.I.C held that role for 30 plus years when he was the Prince of Wales. It was publicly announced in August 2023 that said position would be handed to William as he is now the Prince of Wales, maybe fact check your information first!
