This may be the most epic and awesome anime declaration ever... Code Geass is sumptuous, but Lelouch is more than incredible. He's unpredictable and soooo theatrical. You never know what's going to happen when Zero appears, except that what's going to happen, no matter what it is, is going to be enormous. And this scene, alongside his ascension to the Britannian throne, is doubtlessly one of the most epic and awesome scenes in animation. Even though the paths they chose to achieve that was wrong. I really admire and love both Kira/Light and Zero/Lelouch equally.

Geographically speaking the Britannians are from the Americas and are descended from the British meaning that they would speak ENGLISH. Why would the Britannians even speak Japanese? why would they speak the language of the people they conquered and are constantly racist towards? It makes no logical sense for the characters in the show to speak Japanese. Literally the only reason why they even speak that language is because the show was created by Japanese people. It's an OVA that takes place between R1 and R2 (when the emperor changed lelouch's memories) I read some comments from retards who say "lelouch is still alive he's in akito the exiled". Just to clarify this, when the emperor changed lelouch's memories (when suzaku captured him at the end of the first season) he made him think he was some sort of military strategious guy or something (i havent watched the ova's xD) and he appeared in the last episode saying he's "Julius Kingsley" with a fucking badass suit, and suzaku was with him (to make sure he wouldnt remember anything and that C.C wouldn't come looking for him.) It has some others characters but i haven't watched it so idk. After that the emperor changed his memories again to the student he was in ep1 of the first season and that is when R2 starts.

This speech is my main reason why I prefer the English Dub on Code Geass over the Sub. For all the good VAs Japan has, they can't nearly bring close to the same amount of theatric, arrogance and overall superiority into those kind of moments. Everytime Zero holds a grand speech, the choice of words and the inflection of his voice make the Dub a better experience for me.

Lelouch and Light had completely different ideologies though. Lelouch wanted to become this purposely evil ruler and dictator that would cause the world to join forces to strike him down together. Light only wanted to rule as the God of his new world. Lelouch ftw.

What I like the most about Geass is that it didn't take long to realize "Wait a minute... physically weak, genius, disregard for lives, sacrificing pawns, world domination... The main character is the fuccking bad guy! We're rooting for the bad guy!" And he continued to be awesome :)

If I were to make a live action, I think the waving hand part is a bit much. I would have lelouch say: "Obey me subjects!" With him looking up and cutaways to some characters shocked and continues to lelouch calmly looking back down: "Obey me." Then a smirk: "World." He pulls out a chess piece from his pocket and reaches towards the camera: "Checkmate." Then drops the piece and leave. Then the all hail leouch chants start.

If this were to be made into a live action i would find the recording site and burn everything to the ground. No one is allowed to be Lelouch besides Lelouch, and i highly doubt anyone could play the part as well as the anime. Also, as Dietard has said before, Zero has a love for theatrics, and makes every speech as dramatic as possible. I feel like this was acceptable.

When he appears, you never know what's going to happe; you only know that whatever it is, it's going to be enormous * ^ *. But the difference is that Light is a b@st@rd who abandoned his family because he wanted to become a god (something he coudn't anyway), and that Lelouch is a fakin' hero * w *

He begins his speech with "Attention entire world!" How fucking epic is that?? Hell, this entire speech is just vacuum-packed epic waiting to be unleashed on the audience. Johnny Yong Bosch was the best possible voice actor for Lelouch. Makes me remember how great dubs can be. "The world belongs to me!" "Obey me subjects! Obey me WORLD!!" fucking epic.

Mahdino Funimation does have satisfactory acting such as the voice for Vegeta, Piccolo, and Zoro while Krillin and Ussop have same english voice actor and Future Trunks is Sanji. However I agree the Japanese just beat English by a long shot in One Piece. Same with Naruto and Bleach.
