I am quite fond of HRH The Princess Royal. I am reminded of an incident that occurred when an Australian photographer thought it would be a good idea to provoke Anne. He wolf whistled at her and bid her to "Look this way, love !" Well, she walked right over to him and replied, "I am NOT your 'love'. I am Your Royal Highness !". Love her.

I watched a movie about Meaghan and Harry, before they left the royal family, in this movie it showed Meaghan having a hard time about her being black in this family and the Queen came and got her and took her to the the part of the castle to show her the pictures of her ancestry and the Queen pointed out that Meaghan wasn't the first black person in that family, you just said Meaghan was the first interracial person to join that family.

Anne could have been compassionate and kind. So she feels unappreciated -- well too bad. Coming into the royal family for Diana, Fergie and Megan was NO JOKE! And the media circus did not help them to gain any experience or settle in to find their niches. So sad. The Queen Mother had a period of adjustment as well in the 1930s; luckily she was very independent, strong of character, kind and charming; and her husband, George VI had severe shyness and a stutter from the way his father treated his kids. He leaned on her greatly for support and encouragement. Edward, Duke of Windsor ended up the way HE did from his father's meanness if there was any diversion from what the king thought correct, even down to having pants pressed flat, side to side, rather than with center creases. I think Anne enjoys throwing her weight around -- informing people what is proper and how she should be addressed and obeyed. I think Megan was a natural American, and used to the Hollywood scene which has its own strange culture. Plus she was not fully Caucasian. Megan wasn't given a chance to fit in, to learn. And Harry, naturally feeling protective, took Megan out of the picture. He cleaved to his wife as he should have. Too bad Diana was so young when she got married, as well as tremendously insecure. Charles hadn't a clue how to deal with her. Diana was bowled over in love with Charles and he not especially with her as he loved Camilla. I cannot imagine the pressure Diana went through around their wedding and first year of marriage. Anne could be charming and compassionate but I don't see her flexible enough to do that. After all, she has little idea of what normal life is like. She grew up royal and that has given her certain traits -- snobbishness, standoffishness, demanding of respect just for an accident of her birth. No humanitarian iconography for her as for Diana. And Princess Margaret was a smoking, drinking hoyden who had no common sense and expected everyone to bow and scrape. She was too much catered to as a child and grew up spoiled and wanting to act in an independent way disregarding royal protocol. I think anyone who joins the royal family should at the very least be 28 and a college graduate, and earning an independent living in a career to enter the royal family. Inexperience is so unhelpful b/c with royals like Anne it can be a very cold, isolating family.

More like bloody rude! I have heard her in action - can be very nasty.Time and again she gets away with it. As a girl, her father encouraged her as he was the same and as she grew older she was such a senior Royal that nobody could naysay her. That’s rather unkind.
