Watching it in 2020. And, strangely enough economics just stays contemporary forever. Love this subject.

I would love to attend his lectures and argue with this professor (as I have done with many of them and then they got either confused or furious). There are several things that are inconsistent or at least question for me (his likes this technique of using at least:)) 1. He defines economics as a social science that studies how people use their time and material resources to improve their well-being and then he says that economics does not study all types of social behavior. Well, man, every behavior of any individual that I can conceive of is the use of either material resource or time (which one can easily convert into a material resource, so it is also material resource kind of) aimed towards making himself happy. No one, at least rationally does things to suffer themselves. If this is true then according to his definition of economics any type of behavior is the object of study for economics and economists. Voting that he gives as a counterexample of not being economic behavior is actually spending time (commuting and circling the person, watching candidates on TV, reading their program to make informed decision etc.) and material resources (at least paying for bus or gas to go to the voting center, or to pay for mail if you are voting using mail) to improve his/her well-being (well, we vote for better government, more justice, better economic development, better police etc.). The same applies for worshiping. You spend time and resources for being a good worshiper following all the rule god recommends and you do that in order to get a place in heaven which you think will improve the most important type of well-being (eternal well-being). I will elaborate more and more as I see more points to question in this class. (I do this because I liked this course a lot and I decided to make it perfect. Actually I like the guy and his style very much as well. )

Stone Daly It has always been disrespectful in polite society to wear a hat indoors unless it's for a specific function. Americans are just rude in general.

Jeester I agree, they just seem to lack the basic rules of modesty and think that their society is "open-minded", whereas all that shows is lack of politeness

AngelBeatz92 I think it's generally americans are too lazy to learn the rules of etiquette. I say that having been born here and lived in more than a few states. When i mention to others that it's rude to wear a hat indoors, they just look at me like I'm stupid.

All this chalk board writing eats up too much time... can we get more condensed lectures. I want more information instead of reading what is already in my book on a chalk board! Lecture needs to give us explanation on higher concepts
