I love listening to Rory. But has anyone noticed that of his many wonderful vids this is one of several where his phone goes off while he’s speaking. It has happened often enough now that I am beginning to wonder if we are unwittingly participating in some behavioral economics experiment.

For me, I see Rory Sutherland on the title paired with words like “Advertising”, I click. I don’t even look at the views, like to dislike ratio, comments and video duration the way I used to. My time is important and the last thing I want is to waste 20mins of my time watching rubbish content. That said, I see Rory, I click... And watch till end.

The train speed example is a bit flawed because the train speed has clear macroeconomic effects in the areas it serves. So, investments in higher speed trains are not usually motivated by passenger preferences (except Japan, trains are usually not profitable anyway)
@aditsattАй бұрын
wasn't his point exactly that? "it should be driven by people who use it, that would make trains more valuable and hence, profitable even without million dollar changes"
