The pilots board nearer the launch tubes so this area is the maintenance section. The actual flight deck is massive and I could only fit one small corner in.

Highlighting makes so much more sense, I have heard of this but how you show the brush it clicked. That or I am so tired. As for random seam: that is what I use, too! You can also hide and make it more spinny by doing strong bumpy tires so the seam gets placed on an inside corner. Thanks for printing the Rampart, and your new hangar design is awesome :D
@KathyMillatt

The random seams came from you and your Mars rover! Thanks!

Hello Kathy. That came out magnificently. An easy solution for scaling, ( the ladders.) Just print or purchase your figures beforehand. I have a friend who prints similar buildings in multiple scales, Z, N, HO, and O. He designs all his own buildings. And sometimes he would scale doors or windows incorrectly. I suggested he print out a set of corresponding scale figures. And now he just references those while designing. Beautiful work on your ship, hangar, and figures. See ya next time.

Thanks Norm. I do have them virtually but just wasn’t paying enough attention. I did work out how tall a rung could be but I’m think this should have been measure twice!

Outstanding work, like always! 🤩 For me, the hangar is too big for a small fighter. I don't know, maybe some bridge crane (which can help changing, the engine, wing, etc) over the fighter can broke the visually empty space. That helped me my Gundam hangar/service station diorama. But this is just my opinion.
@KathyMillatt
@KathyMillatt Жыл бұрын
It’s built to be flexible so I will be changing the sleds out and putting Gundam in there, hence the extra height.

Great job Kathy. Subtle finishing and weathering. What scale is that approximately? You're right about the ladders. And the maintenance guy with the laptop looks like he's been drinking on the job in one photo. 😉 Nice design and presentation. Monique from Brisbane
@KathyMillatt
@KathyMillatt Жыл бұрын
Thanks Monique That maintenance guy definitely got a bit of a lean on! The scale is 28mm which I’m approximating to 1/60 as that’s also a scale I have other items in.

FANTASTIC!!! Also may I make a suggestion. Pick up some various scale data stencil decals , you can use them on the aircraft and on the walls by various hardware and ducting. I noticed this was done extensively by Derek Meddings on his filming miniatures for Thunderbirds and UFO etc. Again GREAT JOB
@KathyMillatt

I love that idea. The fighter did look a bit plain and I wasn’t wanting to weather it a lot.

Lovely work! 😃 I guess that figure with the laptop wasn't fixed in place as well as intended, hence the extreme lean in most shots.

They were having transient fluctuations in the artificial gravity generators, that's why he was carrying the laptop around, hoping to encounter and record the variance as part of determining the cause and then deciding upon the proper fix.

Unfortunately I couldn't find any proper spray putty here, I went looking after your last video... anyone else in the comments happen to know alternate names for it I could search? All Google gave me was filler primer, but I've tried that before and it takes a lot of coats.

I think spray putty is hard to get in the US although it’s very common in Europe. It may depend where you live. Motip is my favourite brand of that helps.
