What if their is no paper jam but it keeps saying paper jam tray 1? I have checked all trays. No paper jam to be found. Is their a way to override or reset?

I am not sure if you are still available. I have the same Samsung you show how to fix it. As you know, this Samsung is pretty old, but it served me well for many years. I was printing fine, but while printing, I wanted to prepare the printer to print of the backside of a printed paper. While printing another paper, I introduced another paper in the Manual feeder. This is when everything fell apart. When I try printing, after the machine copies what I need to do, then the paper is pulled from the paper tray. It goes for a while, then it jams after printing 1/2 page. The digital display showed Jam but no number on the display. I pulled the jammed paper out I checked everything, as you showed, but I could not find anything else! Any hope?

thank you for that. what I have is SCX-4500 and it just have a problem to pick up the paper and after 10-15 times just open and close the top as well as a tray out and in it would! any suggestions? appreciate the thought ;)

If jam fixed, wait for samsung go to sleep. Than press power, than start and it will continue from where it stopped. Especially useful trick, when you have duplex printing, and you are printing 100s of pages...

Hi forrest, thanks for getting in touch. Paper jams can be caused by a number of things, the most common cause is the paper thickness being over the recommended weight. Another thing to check is to see if the paper type is suitable for a laser printer, because some inkjet paper isn’t compatible with laser printers. If the paper is under the recommended weight and the also laser certified paper, the problem might be with the actual paper roller inside the machine. This part can become worn over time and might need replacing. I hope this helps Thanks The Printerbase Team

Hi D9D9, Thanks for getting in touch. Sorry to hear about your paper jamming problems. Are you using the laser certified paper in the printer? And is the paper under the manufacturer’s gsm paper weight? If both of these answers are ‘Yes’ then you may have a issue with the paper roll unit and this might need replacing. I would recommend giving the Samsung tech support team a call on 0845 726 7864 who will be able get to the bottom of the issue and advise you on the best action to take. I hope this helps.
