Love this underrated message Even if you’re not a trader but rather a long term investor or have this bigger picture view, leaving an overly materialistic chasing persons frees up your mind to not be weighed down.

The less comfortable the seat, the more alert we are ! There’s a story about a Japanese stock trader “CIS” - He literally made millions and never actually withdrawn anything because he was only there for the game.

I trade from an old chair, which has sentimental value to me. Aside from the fact that it doubles as a cat scratching post, it is extremely comfortable. I have the same mindset about material things. And i use scrap paper for note taking 😂. Thanks for keeping it real.

Jason... quick question. What do you think of the other market wizards? Do you know them personally? Have you been able to learn anything from them?
@seichho73 Жыл бұрын
I rarely leave comments but I will here. The point Mr. Shapiro is making here cannot be overlooked. You will rarely hear this advice yet its one the most important (as a trader). I been trading for over 20 yrs and I can honestly say if you are trading "scared" you will never be successful. Meaning exactly what he is saying here. If your behind on bills or need money NOW and just hoping for that WINNER! You will sell too early and take heavy losses on the other side. Keep it simple. And live to trade another day.

Hi Jason, I am a trend-following swing trader (Livermore, Darvas, William O'Neil, Minervini, etc.) and was wondering whether learning your contrarian strategy will help me make money during times when the stock market is in a low volatility, sideways, choppy phase with no clear direction. How will that be possible? Is it too much to ask and should I just stick to one or the other? Can you give me some idea so I can then join and learn. Much appreciated. Thanks.
@chebaz101 Жыл бұрын
That's not really what his trading system is good for. When the market is going sideways you need to switch to a lower timeframe and determine the trading range. Buy when it's at the bottom of the range and sell when it's at the top.
