If you want to see a fairly modern Elvis movie, check out the 2022 film sometime instead.

Indeed Austin Butler was freaking phenomenal as Elvis He nailed the voice the mannerisms his signature dance moves.

I do believe it was considered normal or more normal for young women to sleep with or marry older men at the time. However yes it's still wrong but I also believe society advances and learns with time. What was considered right decades ago is no longer considered right now. I would never want my 14 year old boy or girl to date or marry a grown man or marry at all at that age but I have no idea what was going through the minds of people at the time im not even sure they even had words like grooming and such back then.

@@LivingGhost1 The times are a changing lol. But yes your right in those times if we existed then we would consider it normal.l because it was considered normal.

I disagree with looking at everything with 2024 eyes, he wasn't a pedo for dating a 14-year-old girl when he was 24, it's still legal in some other countries and they didn't have sex until she was like 20. I'm not saying that I agree with it but yeah it was a different time and people grew up faster.

The age of consent around the world varies, with most countries between 14 and 16.

My mom was 17, dad was 21 when they got married. I see nothing wrong with that. If she was 14 though eww that’s just wrong in every way possible. Funny thing is though is that my parents are still married after 50 years. Yes 50. Just crazy to me.

Priscilla got married at almost 22. My mother got married at 21 years old and my dad is 9 years older and they are still together. Elvis should have left her there in Germany. But she was not so naive at 18 when she moved to the Us, neither her family. 😂

This is an interesting topic. There was a lot of musicians going after 14 year olds… like Donovan sings about being wild about 14 in Mellow Yellow… they play it at the supermarket… yeah… it’s weird how open it was… I think her story should be told even if it is boring.

I'm pretty sure a lot of places in South America still allow folks to marry at 15 or 16, but Brazil just recently changed it to 18 if I'm not mistaken.

1:30 You think he's bad? Jerry Lee Lewis was much more worse he married his 13 year old cousin which is very gross IMHO. 2:12 Exactly! My heart goes out to Priscilla for loosing her daughter Lisa Marie I never minded her as a actress in films like ''The Naked Gun'' trilogy and in ''The Adeventures of Ford Fairlane'' I believe I remember back in the late 80's or early 90's? There was a TV movie called''Elvis&Me'' so this isn't the first time we got to see a biopic of Elvis through her point of view I never seen that film or have interest in this one to be honest I wasn't that interested in a lot Elvis's music maybe the only 2 songs of his I neverminded was ''In The Ghetto''&''Such A Night'' that's all as for his films nah not me cup of tea at all. Fantastic job on the review bro I would love to hear your feelings on both the 2022 and 1979 Elvis biopics someday?

So the actress is going to be in the new Alien movie, Alien Romulus! Such a small actress but at least she can act.

I do hope Romulus is somewhat decent at least. The last several Alien films have all sucked

Come on, Matt, Joe Petto isn't from Pinocchio. He's from Silent Night, Deadly Night 5: The Toymaker, haha. Great review. I like Elvis's music and movies, but he had his faults. Priscilla, being 14, never sat well with me either. The Kurt Russell version of Elvis is my favorite

Great review Matt, I greed this doesn’t sound like a Movie Cause I’m not a huge fan of Musicals & I’m Not as Interested about Elvis Presley’s Backstory Cause Even Though I don’t mind some of his songs, His Music Just Isn’t For me, Plus I don’t Like & I Hate a Lot Of the Shady Things he had Done in the Past Like The things you said Elvis had done in the past Matt that’s why I don’t respect him as a person, it’s fine if People Enjoy is Music & Songs

In other countries like mexico i think Philippines or europe , men could marry women that are 15 , which i dont agree with
@gonzalovilla50426 ай бұрын
It was never legal in Mexico (mexican dude here confirming it) But just like Matt says, back in the day some people acted like that type of behavior was acceptable And from what i've read, it was like that in a lot of places worldwide But like he says too, it was never right

@harryparsons2750, Elvis Presley is by far, the greatest recording artist of all time. There is a good reason why Elvis is the top selling solo recording artist of all time. Nobody sang better than how Elvis sang and Elvis was also a genius of a performer and generous too. Elvis's legacy won't ever die. He has a far bigger fan base worldwide than what you realize.
