Joan, "I've done all I can for him." And then the smirk. Was a well developed character. From the episode where she confronts the woman who murdered her husband and then grabbed her child with the intention of killing her and then killing herself, Maggie Kirkpatrick has shown steady improvement in developing exactly who Joan is. She was a crawler, she sucked up to the Top Dog whenever it suited her and would turn on anyone. She was OK as a secondary player but became really annoying with Rita.

Anyone spot the mistake, when the dr told meg about the tumour , he said uterine tumour ( womb ). When she tells Ann at (19.00) she says cervical tumour

Yes. Not sure who blooped the line. But in real life it's been known to get the two confused.

Meg and Joan may not be the best of friends but they both can see when one is under a large amount of strain. Found it sweet of Joan sticking up for Meg when Dennis was starting to butt in. Outside of Joan taking over Meg's deputy and trying to fire her, they both seem to care about each other's well being.

If you imagine that Prisoner: Cell Block H was a gliming polished piece of vynil last the full 692... well impossible because theres a horrible big scratch on it starting at 509 called Lexi Patterson.

This episode is ridiculous - in real life they would know it was Burke with the huge scratches on his face; Murphy doesn't have a mark on him. A very unbelievable storyline! And, please, will someone write that stupid Warren off the show! And do they actually, or did they in the 80's, commingle men and women together like that in Australia?

I do not like where this is going. Murphy is an a hole but he did do right by Bobby. Ferguson has never done right by any of those women.

I would have to have heard Ann Reynolds refer to Joan Ferguson as The Freak. Ive heard a few officers use reference to that name a few times.....Meg Morris and her son Marty Jackson once said The Freak in reference to the Prisoners referring to her as that.

A serial rapist is roaming the block and yet its the bent screw who cops the charge over the attack on Pixie, that is what I call poetic justice. That detective who done the interviewing is probably the best police officer in the whole series, not only due to his methods of going about the investigations, but more to the point because of his mannerism and consistent displaying of a cool head, very much unlike some I could mention.
@Summer21.9 жыл бұрын
I agree. This inspector is a hell of a lot better than bloody inspector Grace. Grace is seen several more times in the series, I believe, as is the inspector of this episode. There's another main police officer and possibly one more in the series from here onwards. The inspector who interviewed Len, Joan and the women, I think, has crossed paths with Grace, or at least they have talked about each other in the past. :o)
@8ballpoolking19 жыл бұрын
Summer21 You're absolutely right. Funnily enough, Grace was actually who sprang immediately to mind as I was writing the above comment. I was only talking about him last night too on another episode, or running him down, more to the point. Its obviously only fiction but his character still makes my stomach turn, nonetheless. And yes, he does show up periodically for some time to come yet, more's the pity.

+Summer21 I like Inspector Grace.

+Sheri451 I'm afraid, Sheri, he is unlikeable as the character can be a scumbag towards some characters, and you will see that again very soon in this era towards some characters. Jack Grace is too cynical, suspicious, sarcastic, arrogant and obnoxious for his own good. Very much like some of the prisoners and prison officers etc then, I guess lol. 😄
@Sheri4518 жыл бұрын
Thank you. I used to think he was a creep in the early episodes, especially when he would just light up without asking. He was mean to Vera and others too.

I’m in my ninth time of watching this, all 692 episodes. And every time pixie walk into the laundry like that, I tear up. I know it’s not real, but that character to have such a repugnant thing like rape happen breaks your heart. Testament to Judy McBurney the phenomenal actress that brought pixie to life.

Len wasn't all bad he slammed a door on Marlenes nose, gave Judy a well over due smack and didn't give a stuff about her pacemaker and he also put an end to the cock roach storyline by ordering pest control to come in.

Sam only cares about herself, the way she's going on and won't shut up about a stupid robot with everything that's happening, badgering anyone with a pair of ears, does she really think Judy should care about it at this moment in time??? . Pointless annoying character.
