When you walk into the modern car section, you’re not as amazed and mesmerized by the older car versions from the 40s 50’s 60’s and 70’s. Thank you!❤️

In 83 I bought a 1974 Celica ST, with a tired engine. I completely redid the interior made leather shifter and E-brake boots and reupholstered the front seats. Bought a JDM engine for $325 with very low miles; every hose and line and clamp was perfectly straight and looked new. It would get rubber in first & second and a squeak in 3rd Never had any mechanical troubles in the 7 years I owned it. Had a Webber carb on it and a dual 100W amp sound system. One of my favorite cars of all time.

The junk yards by my house are all closing because of people jumping the fence and taking the goodies. This one I always went to as a teen ....was a pull your own part and save.We found this one car that we pulled the rear seat out and found about 34 bucks rolled up..I always loved looking around these places. Most the stuff in this one is just crap. But still fun to explore.

A lot of the vehicles in this yard look as if they could actually be made to run again. The yards I've been to were all loaded with nothing with any potential save maybe for a usuable part or two. I'd love to be able to find a yard like this one.

That flat nosed van at about 9:30 in the video is a 64 to 66 model, and rare because it's a 'No Door', meaning it doesn't have side doors. That was like a $25 option that someone was to cheap buy.

Mustie1 Hey a bit late to this, but just found your channel this year. On the long bed pickup, Dodge also did the 9 footers back in late fifties, early sixties. Have one myself '64 D100 , it was called a camper side because also came with heavy duty suspension. While most 100's are just rated as 1/2 ton these are 3/4 . Heavier duty Dodge trucks also came with that split rear window, part of the reason I like the looks of them. :-)

These old junkyards are fast disappearing-rising land values and new environmental laws are doing away with them. One near me recently closed-owner got $16.5 million for the land. Plus, nobody is fixing old cars anymore-so demand for scrapyard parts is drying up.
