I was told that there were some things in Richard Griot's collection that I would be pumped about... and they were right! I wasn't planning on this to be a video on it's own, but just so much cool stuff it turned into a whole thing! FYI: It’s a formula engine, not the one that’s in the “F1” car (Just putting this out there before the 12 year olds start raiding wikipedia and shit because they think the McLaren F1 had a V8 Cozzy in it lol)

@@dylannix4289 Worth making the distinction. I knew the difference but didn't even think about the the F1 road car and needing the clarification. The S70/2 in the road car is probably double the size of the one here. I'd be curious to know exactly what year spec this motor was built to though. Some of the mid-90's era F1 engines sound GLORIOUS.

@@SlightlyM3ntal looks like a Cosworth CA2010, 2.4L V8 capable of 20,000rpm but limited to 18,000rpm per that years rules. Approx. 750hp. Never used by McLaren though.

Hey Adam. Regarding keeping dust and moisture out of an area for storage, you might want to look into a positive pressure system. In a nutshell, you pump filtered dry air into a building via a dehumidifier air handler. The flow rate in creates a higher pressure inside than the force of pressure trying to enter the shop. Dust and moisture comes in through tiny gaps in the exterior shell of the building. Having a higher air pressure inside the building means dust and moisture can’t overcome the pressure leaking out from the system, so zero dust and moisture can enter. Companies use these kinds of systems in hygiene critical areas. It’s worth looking into.
