Man, I'm never going to have to worry about my Corolla being dead thanks to you. You have a video on damn near everything that has gone wrong with my car, and they all help a ton.

What is the crowfoot size used to install the 'new' power steering high pressure hose? Instead of the crowfoot, can a regular combination wrench be used to install the new hose?

Not too difficult, just a bit of patience needed. You allways manage to get great shots that make the viewer feel they are there :-). On a similar line, i had to remove and replace the drum brake piston assembly on my mates old morris minor 1000, the hydraulic pipe nuts had become one with the pipe lol, it took lots of wd40 and tapping twisting back and forth of the nut, finally i got a bit of play on the pipe, more wd40 and more exercising of the nut and success, no broken pipe :-) They can be a pig when they want to lol :-D

+zx8401ztv Made me think.... how much rust is there on the vehicles in the UK.

+richpin06a We have plenty of rain and not too many warm days, so its not an ideal country for bare metal, and if you live by the seaside then the salty sea air just makes it worse. My mates car is old and the brake lines hadnt been off for donkeys years. If i had let him do the job, he would have broke the fitting off the line, then i would have a stranded morris with no brakes sitting outside my house. It was the easyer path i took ha ha :-D

@@zx8401ztv anyplace near the ocean or like here where they salt the roads in the winter makes auto repair a task. I spray all my bolts and connections with wd-40 or liquid wrench. Let er soak!

Oh no. I have a 93 4cl and it's a nightmare to replace a power steering pump and the culprit, lines that wrap around the back of the engine to the driver's side. $100 for the pump $80 for the lines and idk what in labor yet!

What was wrong with this line? was it leaking?
@lenin27805 жыл бұрын
So this line is about 38 bucks , plus fluid but is the only one you need to replace ? Or is another line to my 98 is leaking the mechanic said two hoses one will cost 150 the other 100 and labor 250 total of 500 but don’t see the other hose
@groovyhippie11659 жыл бұрын
When replacing these types of lines do you need to use lock tight on the threads? (novice mechanic here) :) Thanks for all the video richpin, I'm learning a lot.

Thank you for video. That thing you removed from the top of the power steering pump with a 24mm deep socket ( you also removed an electrical connector from it). What is it called and what does it do?
@RichpinTv9 жыл бұрын
+toyo toe I believe that is a pressure sensor to adjust the idle speed of the engine.
