This video was a very exciting opportunity for us 😄 A huge thank you for your support as always - it helps us to have partnerships like these, and be able to keep growing the channel! 📈 We’ll be back next Sunday with our last video of 2024 - 10 bad habits we’ve seen players at all levels make this year 🏸

Taekwondo recently held a virtual tournament (but physically in Singapore) with slightly different equipment (sensors attached to arms, legs and hands). I imagine that in order to be more realistic, you would need the same and perhaps gloves to sense grip and finger power, or a racket grip with sensors. The virtual court also seemed a little small. Interesting video, I hope the technology improves so that I can play against an AI version of say Lin Dan.
@gone117-r8g19 сағат бұрын
yeah that'd be awesome, if it like compiled a bunch of matches from lin dan and studied his technique, and you could choose to play against 2008 LD and 2016 LD. And maybe you could put AI against each other or have ai doubles partners. I definitely think we'd need more technology for this

Axis trackers? I got those but they were a pain to setup. And they aren't accurate for use above 5 minutes since the intertial sensors start to drift. Full body tracking is still not ready for mass adoption, unfortunately.

I've been trying to develop a VR badminton traning app for a few months, for personal use. Didn't know this game exists. Good to see there's at least a demand out there. I use Pico instead of Meta since they support physical trackers which means I can use my actual racket instead of the controllers. Hope if i ever finish it, you guys might give it a try. And if you don't mind me asking, did the flight of the shuttle feel natural? It's quite complicated to simulate the shuttlecock's trajectory because realistic air resistance calculation is demanding

extremely stressed about my chess tournament
@pauldodd212021 сағат бұрын
I guess chess is the perfect sport for virtual games (using a real board and pieces), as there will be practically no difference except perhaps for room temperature, humidity and smells.
