I always thought the stock triple clamps on the gas gas where cast vs forged like the husky / ktm. Now I’ve learnt they are forged vs billet on the other 2

Mikunis have been used one the Japanese 125 for well over 20 years....They work great.

@@kx454 this aint Japanese for 1 and #2 it's because it's a cheaper option for a stock bike. Doesn't mean an airstriker doesn't perform better. Hence why Yamaha recently switched over on their 2 strokes.

@@jpesicka999 I have tried both Keihin and Mikuni carbs on my 300. The Keihin was less finicky to temperature changes but took away a bit of low-end grunt. I ended up sticking with the Mikuni. All depends on the bike, there is no one answer for all bikes.

Just buy the 250 and add GTYR flywheel to take some of the aggression away, still more powerful than this without all the money and messing about.

That's an old trick boring the carb 1 to 2 mm. But it works, especially with a ported and higher compression mods. How much does pro circuit charge to bore the carb?
