Matt, I’m absolutely blown away by your off-season basement workout ! I’ve never felt anything like this before. For the first time ever, I felt real fatigue doing football drills, and my legs were insanely sore afterward-but in the best way possible. I don’t have a pitch to train on, but this workout proved you don’t need one to level up your game. It’s beyond effective, and it’s honestly a lifesaver for players like me with limited space. Please, please keep making more of these! You’re truly changing the game for us. Thank you so much!

The fact that Matt is able to do such a high quality session with just a ball, a wall, and a bit of space shows us how many different ways there are to train, and that you dont need ideal conditions every session.

Hi Matt, I’m a 12 year old cat 1 academy player who wants to be a standout player at my age now and when I’m older and if I go pro Do I need to be waking up and doing yoga and all that stuff, being aware of my physical attributes as well as going to the academy 5 times a week to train plus and individual session? Should I keep doing my morning routine: 1. Wake up, Make bed and drink two cups of water 2. Shower, brush teeth and wash my face 3. Change 4. Meditate 5.Mobility 6. Change for school 7.Breakfast 8. Leave for the Bus (Please answer) Congratulations on the Baby too

How did Open Combines/Tryouts change over the years? Is it becoming a better option for potential tryout with a first team than it used to be and how often did you have players from tryouts train with you during preseason? If I am not wrong, all of your previous clubs had them at some point. Planning to go overseas for a shot at pro football so I am wondering if its worth it. Thanks in advance and keep up the great work!
@strivemore10 күн бұрын
What country, league and tier are you planning to tryout in? I played in the 5th level in Spain and Germany, also was able to see what top league Andorra looked like, theres many possibilities definitely but the barriers for me personally were the distance away from family and friends, and the time spent there. Its important to make a commitment to the location, unless its simply a place to stay fit for the next jump
@vtn172310 күн бұрын
@strivemore Mostly Serbia 2nd division and 3rd tier in Austria. I've already played abroad so being away from home is something Im already used on. Im seriously looking to play professional football somewhere and continue my career, and since I don't have any connections in USA whatsoever, this seemed like the best option.
@strivemore10 күн бұрын
@@vtn1723 Thats awesome! What I also have seen is since europe is so incredibly competitive, many players make their name in Asia, or South/Central America. I found success professionally in central America, and a few friends play in Phillipines, Indonesia, among other countries. if you have EU passport, just go all in with Serbia or Austria, they have great levels, hope to see you at the top one day bro!

Q/A: do USL players get paid throughout a 12 month plan or is it from the start of the season to the end of the season/is it on the players to set aside enough money to make it through the offseason financially? *not sure if you’ve answered this before*
@dansugardude26559 күн бұрын
I think it’s only for during their contracts but I don’t know for sure. I wouldn’t be surprised if some USL-C players living in the United States collect unemployment during the offseason if they’re out of contract during that time.

Q and A: What is the main reason people that are good whne they are 14-15 maybe 16 years old, arent always the ones that makes it pro, other than that others are training more. Whats your experience with this?

Continuos Q/A : Thoughts on the American/Canadian pay to play and pay to earn opportunities methodology, and how to conquer it and change it for good? Context: Some parents and kids are paying upwards of 10000$ per year for their kids to play ECNL/MLS Next and participate in showcases etc. All of which is unheard of outside of North America. In addition lots of clubs and scummy organizations are taking advantage of the desensitization to paying absurd amounts of money for sports as simple as soccer, and are charging young players ridiculous sums for open tryouts and scam showcases, selling un-attainable dreams to desperate and vulnerable people. Examples here in Canada: Some organization which I won’t name is ran by a con artist who lies about his status as an ex-pro player and now agent who scams players into signing up for a 750$ two day combine, where most of the people he claims to show up to “scout” never even come. Another example, a local semi pro club is charging 3 tiers of payments, 65/85/250$ for a 2 day open tryout with them, absolutely speechless about that. Anyways the actual questions for you: Do you think pay to play is bad? How do you see it being replaced? Do you see it being replaced? And do you see this capitalistic mindset used around taking advantage of vulnerable players becoming way to common a serious problem for the future and development of the sport in our continent? Thank you and would love for you to answer in the next video! ❤
