Stardust Chords, PLEASE! YOU'LL LOVE IT! This song, Highway Tune is their 1st - written when they were teens! They didn't even write a chorus for it. 😂 A great first song, and they just sang it on their first venue since Covid. They toured all over the world for 3 1/2 years straight - and have upped their game by leaps and bounds!! Thanks for the review! 😎

Josh has been working with a vocal coach in Nashville to preserve his vocal cords and you can really hear it on this track. By the way, I really like your band and have listened to a few of your songs. I must listen more...

Yeah that’s what I’ve heard as well. But I’ve never listened to Zeppelin on purpose so I don’t know. In 3.5 hours there’s another GVF reaction coming out and it’s to a track from their latest album.

"Flower Power", "Age of Man", and "Black Smoke Rising" are some of my favorites from their first album. They have one sort of obscure song that was released as part of a movie soundtrack called "Always There" it is absolute fire 🔥!

To each his own, I guess. I like this sound (and look) much better than what they're doing now, but I grew up on Zep and other bands of the 60s/70s. I still like their sound (I've seen them 5x and #6 is coming up next month...highly recommend seeing them live), but the early songs do it more for me than the current ones.

Highway Tune gave people the first look at Greta Van Fleet. A lot of people dismissed them as a manufactured Led Zeppelin cover band. But if one listens to Josh Kiszka singing from when he was 17, that's his voice. I would love to see you react to "Stardust Chords" from The Battle at Garden's Gate. They have grown as a band a lot. First time I heard this song the riff sounded so much like the song The Rover off of Zeppelin's 6th studio album Physical Graffiti which also had the song Kashmir on it. I do recommend you take a listen to The Rover, you will completely see why most people say it's the next Zeppelin. To be fair Zeppelin in their formative years did borrow, steal, and didn't credit artists on their early albums, this did cause Zeppelin to pay lots of money in out of court settlements. Obviously these artists wouldn't have pursued legal action. Led Zeppelin was a cash cow, and everyone certainly wanted a piece of that pie. Greta Van Fleet does sound like Zeppelin, are they the second coming of Zeppelin? I suppose the fans of Greta Van Fleet can decide that. IMO, 100 years from now people will still be talking about Led Zeppelin. I don't think they'll be talking about Greta Van Fleet... Certainly a Cool rock song IMO...

I would love you to listen to this - Light My Love - Greta Van Fleet kzbin.info/www/bejne/f4jUhYR3i8t4Y7c - I think you will love it Haters always use Highway Tune to prove their point about LZ - and it does have that vibe. I would say two things - that was pretty much the beginning of their career and they were very young - but delve beyond that and you will find a lot to love about GVF that is uniquely theirs. I haven't seen any LZ comparisons from anyone re their other songs.

Just found this channel. Liked and sub'd for more. Give a listen to "Safari Song", "When The Curtain Falls" and "The Edge Of Darkness" (a 9:30 song that is 3:30 of vocals and 6:00 of kick ass guitar solo). You won't be disappointed!
