@@regan4497ill give you armaldo but even then its outclassed by scizor Durant etc Beautifly and dustox are so much worse than their gen 1 counterparts Armaldo is not even usable in e4 since it has 0 bug stab n its outclassed badly by other bugs Beautifly is fodder besides Sidney or sun n even then butterfree scyther or rimbombee does its job better Dustox is useless besides Norman Brawly and its pretty bad for a defensive bug type Nijask is just a worse version of scyther or gavantula n ninjask is unusable because choice scarf item exists

I found it pretty good in the gen 3 remakes. and i'd say it became reasonably ok if trained in gen 5. The main reason I say Masqurain is really viable in hoenn remake is because of the pokefinder, in the route Surskit is available it has a distinct shaking bush animation. water type makes it a high risk high reward for the first gym, bubble beam will carry it for awhile, struggle bug is available in slateport, it'll eventually gain scald, and the only fire type team magma have has a x4 weakness to water and is slower than the flying mask.

"Linoone slowly falls off" Sure it does, that's why it sweeps the e4 solo, underleveled. For basic use it gets decent stab power with good speed until norman when It gets facade and breaks the rest of the game. I think liza&Tate are the only ones where it struggles to solo

Even if you don't want to actually use it on the team it still has insane value as an HM Slave/Pickup abuser and you can even save it for soloing thr E4 at the end if you have empty slots. And since you can get it on quite a few routes it's almost Magikarp levels of free

I just started my first nuzlocke, a sapphire version run with just the base rules. So far my team is a Mudkip named Atlas, Pick Up Zigzagoon named Mask, and a Guts Tailow named Birb. It’s really made the franchise more enjoyable for me!

How effective Pokémon are in nuzlockes is completely different than a regular play through and competitive. Basically all ice types are worse because of how terrible that typing is defensively.

Putting dustox in F teir is crazy. It gets moonlight, which makes it better for no item Nuzlockes. It's typing also allows it to easily destroy your rivals sceptile whenever you fight it, making swampert even crazier. It destroys normal pretty easily with protect, and it has great utility until Flannery. After that is kinda falls off, but It still is usable against random trainers.

I'm currently trying my first nuzlocke and so far Dustox is a great annoyer. I like stalling out by poisoning the opposing Pokémon, healing up with moonlight, then venoshocking it when I have the chance. It's not great but it hasn't died yet lmao

Personally I say slacking for gen 3 specific is S even with its ability hyper beam is physical and the recharge won’t matter since the ability makes it so you wouldn’t have a next turn anyway and it can set up and at plus 1 it one shots pretty much everything you come across in gen 3 and it’s enough of a tank to get 2-3 full on attacks which is 4-6 rounds before it’ll need healing until you get to champion and even then you can just heal and be good you’ll still one shot almost all of them with hyper beam or even strength at plus 1

I caught a Minun in my Omega Ruby run and named him Kraftwerk. He’s carried me thorough a huge chunk of the game surprisingly enough. He’s got decent Sp Def and Speed and I maxed his Sp Atk EV’s. Good STAB with volt switch and thunderbolt, nasty plot to tackle Wallace and the E4, and ok coverage with grass knot. Trump Card can be a good one-use move in niche circumstances like with certainly bulky mons. I’m mega biased cause I love Kraftwerk and protect him with my soul but I still think the cheerleader duo have their uses.

I had a lilleep on my Sapphire All Grass types playthrough and I was dragging my heels with it. Then as the flying gym I discovered it had Hidden power Electric and BAM! I had that thing evolved INSTANTLY! Was a solid player for the rest of the game just because she was so overleveled.

For Gen 3, it's major issue is the fact that it can't really utilize STAB. However it can be terrifying in Gen 4 onward, as it has a massive base attack stat (same as Machamp's). However you still have to deal with its other, much more mediocre, stats and general rarity.

you set it up right, and it cannot die. It gets Leech Seed and Ingrain, too! Depending on how tanky you want to be, you can just Toxic/Leech Seed/Giga Drain/Ingrain. If it needs coverage Ancientpower is okay. It's not a sweeper by any means, but anything that can't hit it super-effectively and isn't immune to the Toxic/Leech Seed combo is going to have a bad time.

It has a few problems. Starting with no attacks is one of them. And two it’s EXPENSIVE to make good. It has next to no movepool outside of tms so you have to spend a lot of money to buy the game corner tms in the gen 3 games.Without that it’s basically stuck with just psychic stab which makes it actually kinda bad in gen 3. It’s excellence in gen 6 is counteracted by being a terrible nuzlocke pokemon gen 3. It’s just a high investment Pokémon with less reward then say slaking another high investment Pokémon.

Did a Ruby nuzlocke of my own a year ago, and I gotta say, Torkoal was probably one of the best finds I could have gotten. Ended up getting a Minun too and was afraid it would instantly die, but the extra boost in Sp. Def helps it a lot.

when i was a kid i had gotten all 3 of the gen 3 games after a few years cheap. the first time i ever played Sapphire i decided to trade a pokemon to it from Ruby just to make it a bit faster. i didnt want to be TOO 'op' so i looked into boxes and grabbed at random a lvl 16 Torkoal i had in there and sent it over. that boy was such a beast and just helped me steamroll the game ^^.

I don't know if you repositioned Pinsir after this, and I guess I will see when I watch the later gen vids, but Pinsir is the same speed as Heracross which is ranked much higher and at least in gen 4 they are fairly similar up until Heracross gets close combat. However Pinsir gets swords dance about the time that Heracross gets close combat and they are the same attack stat as well, and Pinsir does get brick break and x scissor before Heracross gets any bug moves. In fact both of them are basically fighting type until Pinsir gets X-Scissor at 30, although Heracross does get Aerial Ace at 13. Heracross only gets 1 bug move though and it is at 55 with megahorn.

Found the channel like few days ago, and I finally found a PokéTuber/PokéStreamer that has Zangoose as favorite Pokémon just like me, I don´t know about him on Nuzlockes cuz I haven't done a Ruby/X/Y/OR Nuzlocke and got him on the only Route it is found, but in Gen 3, with Jolly Nature, Good IV's, good EV's, Sword Dance/Return/Shadow Ball/ Brick Break it can wreak havoc on Ruby's Elite 4, bar Drake and some of Steven Pokémons. Also, have no idea on using Zangoose on Hardcore Nuzlockes especially, not bulky, no healing moves, probably low tier on Hardcore Nuzlockes

had a ninjask in a black randomizer. insane pokemon to have swords dance + baton pass on, plus its moveset at least in that gen is perfect. i literally swept the entire elite four + N + ghetsis with just a ninjask and a scrafty

I swept half of the elite 4 with Blazakin. Teach in the Brick Break TM you get in Stootopois (or whatever) and put him up front. He kills the Dark types and Ice types in 1 hit, and Steven has Steel types, so Fire Blast or Blaze Kick can roast them, along with Brick Break. Even if his Metagross scares you, you should have at least 1 pokemon with Earthquake.

The problem is that it's not guaranteed to beat them all in one hit. If Glacia's Walrien survives it's bye-bye Blaziken. Pheobe and Drake are bad matchups as well. Wallace too, but I guess it depends on if you're playing Emerald or not. Blaziken is still solid though

I think linoone depends on the rules you are using, I actually do items in battle but you can't buy anything but pokeballs so pickup is really clutch and when linoone starts to fall off as a pokemon he is one of the best HM slaves in the entire series and you always can use it a as a sacrifice. With the rules I use linoone I would actually rank linoone as an A tier.

Fun Idea: Start one of your Nuzlockes with a buddy on whatever Rom Hack you Choose and after every gym battle, major event, rival battle, or evil team leader fight, you then plug each of your teams into showdown and fight

I've had Gardevoir save me in the Battle Factory and sweep teams after my other Pokes died unfairly to crits/hax. A little slow, it's basically an inferior Alakazam/Espeon with the advantage of good special defense which doesn't help it that much. Psychic type was just one of the good ones, kind of like Water where there's lots of less viable ones that are still good on their own merit. I always liked Espeon the best because it could Baton Pass and it's fast.

The problem is that ralts and kirlia suck. You have to keep these very weak Pokémon until level 30 when it becomes stronger, so grinding is a chore. I think gardevoir shouldn’t be in s because it isn’t as good as the Pokémon in s tier

It's just that it doesn't have good coverage in gen 3. Most nuzlockers who use it are forced to run Calm Mind, Psychic, Thunderbolt and Shadow ball/double team.

So dustox is actually quite insane in oras, especially in no item runs it’s been buffed hard with venoshock moonlight and toxic and you can throw like big buzz for more stab unless like Tate and Liza it’s specially bulky so I’d personally put dustox in A

I've got a Nuzlocke challenge for you to think about it. think of the hardest rules for an Nuzlocke for you and game/hack(your choice) however, everytime you wipe out you wont be able to catch the pokemons that you already got from previous nuzlocke. For example, you start the nuz, catch x pokemon if you do wipe out and start from the beginning again, you wont be able to catch it again.(excluding starters) you can apply the dupped mons clause or not, up to you.

@@aaronmorris3065 Except that's not what I'm saying. Torkoal doesn't die from any water attack. Magcargo doesn't die from any water attack. Camerupt does though. Hence it being rated so low. Magcargo is only rated as worse because it's move pool is really trash and it has awful speed while still having the 4x weakness to water, but it has the defense to at least survive a hit. If you've ever played the Gen 3 games using Swampert you'll know. You can comfortably Surf Archie's Camerupt while well underleveled, while torkoal and magcargo put up more of a fight. It's not "It dies to it's weakness" cause in that case Gyarados would be trash cause it gets hard countered by any fast, accurate electric type. Camerupt is specifically not good because of it's competition. In a game filled with bulky surf-using water types it's one of the only ones to get guaranteed OHKO'd by it while the others won't, it's only redemption is decent moves and not having the speed of a literal slug.

Chimecho is actually shockingly clutch in ORAS, though. You wouldn't think so, but it has a really solid movepool and special attack. You get it late, but by that point you also have the TMs to make it good.

Your early options in Hoenn suck, Linoone is kind of okay, and Pickup can get you cool stuff that can support your team in weird ways. Pin Missile gives it interesting matchup potential. Mighteyena is trash in gen 3, but is a major sleeper in later gens, it only gets better with every generation, I honestly think it's a top 10 pokemon in ORAS if you take care of it. No idea how to rate that.

Some will say only one others will say keep both. It really doesnt matter. Technically you didnt catch a new pokemon to get a Shedinja so if you solely go off of that rule then theres no need to "choose" between the 2. Just keep both.

well you would have used your encounter on a route to get your nincada so you can keep the ninjask cuz it was already obtained legally. The shedninja, I'd say the way you keep it is if you nincada evolved on a dead route or by rare candy in a location you can't otherwise get a mon. or you know, cheat. Cuz it's really not a big deal no one's checking your work
