Good stuff! Thanks Jeff! I'm a MN guy myself, and actually recorded at IPR. It was a fun coincidence when I decided to learn how to convert my Pro Tools files to my friend's Cubase for mixing/mastering, and I learned from you! Thanks!

Really helpful, much appreciated how you go into detail about every selection option. Wondering if this applies to PT vers 7 & 8 as well.

Avid/Digidesign has made incremental improvements to the inter-op abilities of Pro Tools going all the way back to version 5 or so, so some of this is very relevant for those earlier versions, but some is a little more limited. The *processes* are largely similar going back several versions, as we recall, though. Even version 11 adds a few new features that we are likely to be covering soon.

Thanks for the useful video! Question: Does handle size count for anything when you choose "link to source media"? If you're linking to the original media, that would be the entire file, right? Seems strange that handle size is still an option in that case. Or am I missing something?
@pietrosammarco62252 жыл бұрын
And for that matter, Copy Media doesn't need handles either, right?

I created the OMF but when I tested it out on my protools in a different project the files imported in the right position but the audio files were missing.

Hello, when I try to import audio from a video track PT split the tracks into 2 mono tracks. Why it doesn't import a stereo track? Thank You.

I´ve been working for 5 years with pro tools 12.5 hd and now that I bought a new pc I can´t even import data session omf, so, I can´t work anymore. It is weird because it happens to me with the last two pc I bought (lenovo ideapad gaming and a Victus HP 16-d1001ns), however, I installed the program with a friend´s pc and it works. WTF

@MykaelAlexander2 жыл бұрын
Use shift + opt + i (import session data)

Hi! Thanks for the video Im Trying to export an AAF from Pro Tools but it keeps popping this error message (Could not complete the Export Selected Tracks command because std::exception) And I dont have idea of what that exception means... = There's a way that I can export the pro tools timeline to work it again in editing of Premiere Pro? or similar?... Thanks for the attention

Me too! Any fix for this that you found?
@jarodgao81645 жыл бұрын
unless you delete all faders, I mean all of them. includes fade in, fade out and cross fade. its wired right? I also think so. Cause those AAF/OMF with faders that generated by other DAW or video edit softwares can be imported into PT! So, I don't know what to say to AVID......

Hello. Does anyone know if there is a way to export AAF and keep stereo tracks interleaved instead of two mono tracks?
@IprEdu11 жыл бұрын
While some editing systems appear to export stereo-interleaved, and Avid editors appear to import it without issue, we've not been able to duplicate the behavior of exporting stereo-interleaved files on an Avid system. "Officially" Avid does not support exporting stereo-interleaved. Advanced Media Workflow Association (www.amwa.tv/) is the organization responsible for the AAF standard and more information can be found on their site.
