Personally, I was taught when welding on D-rings that are going to take any real load it's always at least three passes of clean weld. Preferably with 7018 stick but a nice hot mig could do it too.

Need to do some trimming in the plate around the top. Get rid of those sharp angles. If that weld can't hold ryno's trailer you need to sell your welder and give up 🤣

You should add a square hitch just in case you need to haul a smaller trailer 🤷🏽‍♂️. I have that on the back of my 2011 Freightliner Coronado heavy hauler.

And on a more serious note can you please wear some safety glasses, I ended up having to have a cornea transplant after suffering a eye injury while welding.....now i have about 50% vision in my left eye, and let me tell you it is not pleasant
