Every year in March, I go on a walleye fishing trip to Fort Spokane, Wa. Near the campground we stay at, there is a convenience store/tackle shop/diner that we go to. I am not sure the store's name, but we all call it Bob's due to the owner's name. They have the best greasy burger after a cold day on the water.

Cartridge talk fully loaded idea I would love to see: 45-70 (contextually older, more powerful Cartridge well geared for dangerous game and large game) vs a "newer" bottlenecked Cartridge (contextually lighter recoil, marginal or fair for large game on the top end) Looking at; does the added recoil do anything for you, or is smaller lighter just equal better for hunting elk?

I just installed an EC tuner brake, Cortina Precision was kind enough to put on a prize table, on my 223 practice rifle that has almost 4,000 rounds down the tube. Hope this doesn't jinx me, but its shooting the tightest groups of it life.

Love the podcast! I have a phenomenal topic idea in mind. I was thinking back to your survival rifle episode and each guy had to choose the one gun he would take in a bugout type situation. I think its reasonable to ask what 2 guns would you carry to bugout. Me personally, I would go with a AR-10 in .308 for general purpose with a Henry survival rifle stowed in my backpack for small game hunting and a large cache of ammo. You have to admit this topic would make for good conversation.

I am surprised that you guys didn’t do a bit better shooting that model 65. I don’t remember when or where I learned it but when I bench shoot a two piece stock lever gun, I always hold the fore end in my left hand on top of a sand bag and it has improved my groups. I think it may have a stabilizing effect. It seems to work for me.

Best post hunt meal…always Deer heart…if heart gets blown up…a tenderloin wrapped in bacon,…three things for prepping….guns with ammo, Survival Knife with firestarter attached, Dehydrated meals. Wrestler…undertaker. He is an actual hunter. And that gun was TERRIBLE …even at my age i can do better with irons….the shame.
