You can tell how much emotion goes into this anthem. I've been standing outside the stadium when the roof was open and heard this... The sound just rises from it and wafts across the city, and you can hear every word for about 1/4 mile! Everyone on the street stopped and listened and were smiling, singing along. Glad to say I share my nationality with these amazing people. Incredible moment... shivers down my spine...

Was fortunate enough to be a supporter on tour with the All Blacks to Wales in 1989 . Shall always remember the magnificent Welsh singing . Added so much to the game and the atmosphere . Simply brilliant . Watching this video brings it all back . Shall never forget that trip . Even though the All Blacks played well it is the singing I remember most .

My town here in the scottish border’s used to host hundred's of Welsh supporter's in the town’s hotels before the game at Murryfield but sadly all that’s gone now, It was like having a visit from home every two years. I was young when I first saw Wales play against Scotland and it was JPR’s last season and I got to see them win 19-13 and I got caught smoking in the school boy’s enclosure live on BBC TV LOL I was born in Bangor :)

Why wouldn't they be - they are ancestral cousins, a connection constantly played down in favour of promoting the Irish connection. The city names Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen comes from Old Welsh. Look up the Hen Ogledd if you want to learn why!

I've a Welsh mother / English father and spend as much time in Wales as i can, always have done, Wales will always be my 'home' and Wales will always be my national team. Mae hen wlad fy nhadau always brings a tear to the eye whether singing at home or among the crowds at Cardiff, it's full of so much passion and emotion and it fires up the crowd like no other i've been witness to. I am a proud Scot; but the Welsh national anthem is out of this world. Is it the best? I think so. The French, Russian, Italian, Spanish, and U.S. are also terrific. But I think the sheer pride of a 60,000 Welsh choir makes this anthem rank above all others. Thanks for uploading.

God Save The Queen should be reserved for British events like F1, Olympics etc DEFINITELY Jerusalem for the 6 Nations.

This is what rugby union is all about one of the best anthems around and even as an englishman after thirty years of hearing the welsh national anthem it still sends the heart racing and sets up the game aheard.great place to watch rugby anywhere in wales. First time I heard the Welsh Anthem was in 1972. Waking up early hours of the morning in New Zealand watching the All Blacks vs Wales at Cardiff Arms Park. This has to be the most breathtaking Anthem sung by a Nation who give their heart and soul. God Bless Wales.

The best sporting occasions i recall are wales v scotland (with one or two exceptions ; primo: when we beat england for the grand slam in murrayfield...the tryfest in paris in 99 wasnae bad either) however the joy and fellowship from the fans in wales makes scotland v wales my favourite fixture, especially in cardiff AND I REALLY MISS THE ARMS PARK......

Love the often underplayed connection between the Celtic cousins of Wales and Scotland. Many have connections going back over a thousand years because of the Old men of the North (Hen Ogledd)...many city names in Scotland come from old Welsh.

To Boogie Knight..I think if you check back on your history the English "stock" came from the "Angles" and the "Saxons" hence their biological name Anglo-Saxons. Also...Scotland is the ONLY country in the UK never to be "totally" invaded..Even the Romans got scared and scurried home.

It was the only country in the world the Roman Legions failed to conquer. Instead, all they could do was build Hadrians Wall to protect them from Scots Warriors. I am from the US and love my country I am embarrassed beyond words to say that you couldn't get the people of this country to sing their own anthem because they wouldn't know the words. I would include myself as well. I heard this and just wept, it is one of the most beautiful anthems I have ever heard.
