Problems with Hydraulic steering? Sea star seal replacements along with a couple other things

Because the boat has been on the lift I have put off a couple projects that I could only do with the boat out of the water. Started off with an easy replacement of trailer winch strap, followed by a little more intensive hydraulic steering seals with O-rings. Finished with a livewell pump replacement. I would have rather been out on the water fishing but owning a boat means you have to give back for the joy it gives you. hopefully this has helped someone save some $$$

Great content, sounds like we have similar issues! Any idea if the replacement seal kits fit all rams? Mine is 20 yrs old, HC5345

Did you have to drain all the oil beforehand?

I didn't. The oil drained when I removed the seals , probably should have made sure all old oil was out beforehand

How long do the seals last

My original seals lasted 15 years

Would highly recommend getting the specific puller tool
