ProCharger D1X System on 370ci LS Engine

ProCharger was introducing their new, integrated supercharger and serpentine system at PRI 2022. It looked a great package so we bought one to try out. We had just built a 370ci LS long block for inventory as a turbo build but decided to finish it with the D1X. An effortless 1,063hp on pump gas.

How much , boost ? I have a 10:5 compression 370 with AFR 230s and a comp 232/240 .600 lift cam I’m going to be installing a D1x on it this winter, hoping to see over 900 horsepower

The dyno screen is shown in the video at 0:25. Column 4 shows the boost level. Peak boost indicated was 17.4 psi at 7,100 rpm.

The entire front accessory drive is made by ProCharger which eliminates a lot of problems. It is also designed to work together. BTW, we had the same reaction as you. How do you go by changing out the lower pulley for more boost?

You don't. The next step up is an F1-X with a Dart block, upgraded 4.000" stroke crank (427ci) and six bolt heads among other things.

This engine has RHS LS3 heads which we have modified extensively on our CNCs (porting, combustion chamber, surface milling, valve job). We have posted several videos of our 5-axis CNC on KZbin doing porting and other operations. I see however that we have not posted our Newen 2-axis CNC seat & guide machine at work. It does valve jobs and bowl blending in a single operation using a single point cutter instead of a form tools which are the industry standard for seat & guide machines. The chatter marks and dimensional distortion (heat) characteristic of form tools are therefore not possible. The net result is measurably higher horsepower. These BRE-modified RHS LS3's are what we use on most of our builds which call for 4-bolt heads. I'll post a video later today and add it to our engine machining playlist.
