I have a ProDesk 600 G2 which looks identical to the EliteDesk 800 G2 that you've featured in past videos!

I guess we'd call them fraternal twins. Look alike but just slightly different. How do you like the G2?

You often mention if a unit has a Broadcom or Intel based Ethernet chip, can you speak on if there is any difference and or is one better than the other?

Some programs like pfsense and operating systems have compatibility issues with non Intel NICs. HP tends to put the Intel network ports in their higher priced units and use the realtek and broadcom to save money in their more budget friendly computers.

What's the diffrence between prodesk g3 and the elitedesk g3?

I hope to have a comparison video on those two units soon. Basic difference include choice of CPU, power, and remote management.

I have elitedesk 800 G5. Its cpu temperature remains between 60 to 80 degree Celsius. Is it normal? Room temperature is 26 degree celsius. Please also make a video about checking and troubleshoooting fan related problems. Thank u

I have a i5 9500t and waking up it was around 32 but running the heavy load tester it went up to 77 after 4 minutes. So your numbers sound right. Ty Hanks for the suggestion on fan diagnosis. After I stopped the heavy load it went back into the high 40s after a couple of minutes

is the i5 6500 compatible with the 6500t ? I have a copper heat sink.

For the EliteDesk series they can be interchanged if you use the 90w adapter but the ProDesks only list the T processors, not sure if the unit will know what to do with the 6500. Although now you've given me an idea for another video...hmmm. thanks

Hmmm I think my BIOSes are at 2.49...

HP has been pretty good about supporting these older units. Just when I think they're done I'll see a new version pop up. You can sometimes use HP support assistant to upgrade but the upgrade via BIOS seems the most consistent for me.

@@handmedowntech I checked the website. For My Prodesk 400 G3, they still only offer 2.49 :o(
