What's ironic is him and Pac had alot more in common than people think. Both went to art school Both knew famous people as kids They both had alot of haters They both signed with so called bullies after prison They both inherited alot of beef that was even Thiers They both told the truth. Both had parents on drugs. They both died in Vegas. RIP

This book touched me, I grew up with Calipe "Yammy" Williamson; we used to play kickball and stickball when he lived on Staten Island. He later moved to Brownsville to the Tilden houses and I used to go out there and chill with him; he later moved to Queensbridge. Anybody that knew my man knew that he was a general out on them streets, we used to call him Blinky when we were 11 years old. Rest in peace my brother also rest in peace to his mother Cookie and a shout out to his brother Buddha and sister Ayesha; I never got the opportunity to met his daughter Yameshia. One of the most deepest rap stars ever. A true thinker with a huge brain. Prod was just different. Interesting kid from day one. “ There’s a war going on outside no man is safe from….” Spooky first verse over a spookier track. I was in a van with about 15 loud 40 and over white guys. I played that song and the van got pin drop quiet. Not another word was spoken for the rest of the ride. I was like damn. “ Din Din…. Yeah. This one goes out. To my man killa B.” Dead silence.

Prodigy has somethin that you can't really explain. Havoc is my favorite producer. The Infamous album is hip hops Magnum Opus(spelling)? The lyrics from P were mind blowingly complex in his swing delivery but spit so smooth and effortless. That album to me is as important as the Great Pyramid of Giza. It is a rare moment in time captured perfectly on one recording. Unbelievable

I grew up listening to Mobb Deep starting with The Infamous album which is a definite classic with one of the greatest hip hop songs ever included on it also with "Shook Ones Pt. Ii"! They then continued dropping classic after classic, especially Hell on Earth, Murda Musiq and Infamy. Prodigy had dropped his 1st solo album later in between these albums with H.N.I.C. which was also a gem. Bandana P dropped some of the most iconic lines and verses while Havoc gave them their grimey sound with his production while also spitting some nice lyrics in his own right. They dropped their Free Agents album which was a banger and then signed with G-Unit's record label through Interscope if I'm not mistaken and made more albums as Mobb Deep and Prodigy continued to drop his solo joints mainly working with the Alchemist as his producer. I hate how P's health deteriorated leading to him leaving us way too soon. I loved when Nas and him would collab on joints together often with their best one being "Self-Conscience" off the QB's Finest album in my opinion. Prodigy had some classic features as well with all these achievements and his realness putting him in the greatest MCs ever in hip hop in my opinion at no lower than the top 10 at the very least and I honestly believe in the top 5 of mine plus many others! I'm glad this autobiography of his was put on audiobooks because it is absolutely great to have Prodigy narrate the story of his life son!👍🏼🔥🔥🎤

Thank you so much for uploading this. The Infamous dropped my senior year, Prodigy and Havoc quickly became two of my favorite artists from that era. QB was pushing out some crazy ass talent back then, some of the best bars ever came out of those projects. The beats and pen game from that era have stood the test of time. It was the Golden Age of Hip Hop and Mobb Deep was near the top, in my opinion. I still listen to their records damn near everyday, it still hits me the same way it did in 1995. I love the book, but it's hard to listen to Prodigy narrating it. I hope he is resting easy now that he is finally free of sickle cell. He most definitely was a real one.. RIP Prodigy 🙏
