Thank you for your reaction! Here's a fascinating note about this performance that touched my heart 10 times more. The 7 doors that they exit from (back into the world) are brass doors custom-made and designed by my country, Canada, as a gift to the UN and their building. Each door has bas-reliefs symbolizing peace, justice, truth and fraternity. We're not perfect, but we're "Welcoming" to all and our multiculturalism means our citizens don't have to give up their cultural identity for our nation. We have people from every ethnicity, culture, country, and corner of the world. I'm pretty sure the 7 doors were used because it met their performance needs, but I find it fascinating how well the cultural significance of these Canadian doors aligns with their speech and their desires for the whole world.

Hey Cody- It's the United Nations in NYC. They actually flew there with a new title under their belt, BTS, Special Presidential Envoy for Future Generations and Culture. They were at the UN with the President of Korea who actually gave a speech and then introduced BTS who also gave a speech with all of them speaking about the pandemic, climate change and other things especially related to the youngest people coming of age at this time. It is worth watching for sure! After their presentation they introduced this song and I guess it played on screens for the members of the UN who were there. Pretty cool!

Jungkook's starting it at the podium as if he owns the UN hall making it a venue for his concert and leading the group singing down the aisle, did the perfect spider landing and then into the park where the crowd join in the dance , he is the main character and his vocal is just so clean and powerful.

♦️Apparently an inside source said that BTS, such hard workers, spent hours recording that video (VCR) earlier. So BTS recorded on Sunday, at the UN to be shown right after all the members so brilliant speeches, link in reply, (right after President Moon's speech, who also introduced all BTS ever so proudly), so that all the participating dignitaries in attendance could not just hear their speeches but watch the VCR to see them actually perform as well!!

The speech and they did an interview with President Moon are both awesome. I read that they started filming the performance 1 am Sunday, so Jimin deserves to take off the tie. That is how dedicated our guys are! actually teared up during the interviews, starting with President Moons statements. It's like they built the UN building for BTS one door per member! Vs' is usually dark green, I notice cuz it's my favorite color. But not today! Did you catch his heel click in the lobby?

There are 7 real nickel-bronze doors at the north entrance, and they said it was donated by the Canadian government. There are four bas-relief plates on the exterior side of each door, each symbolizing peace, justice, truth, and fraternity.

They actually just changed their mic colour not so long ago. Like usually Jhope had a red mic and now tosca. V usually had green mic and now grey.

They were invited by the UN to speak & perform.They originally wanted to perform this live in front of the UN Assembly, but due to the set up, it wasn't Covid safe. So when they flew in NYC Saturday night, they went to the UN at 1:00 a.m. to tape the inside performance until early in the morning. Then they went to the hotel to sleep few hours, then went back to the UN early in the morning (around 6:00 a.m.) to shoot the rest of the outdoor scenes. They went back to the hotel to rest and practice their speeches. They work so hard and are so professional! Fun fact: The 7 nickel plated doors BTS came out of the UN were donated by the Canadian Government; on the exterior of each one of them are four panels symbolizing peace, justice, truth and fraternity! It was serendipity that the 7 members of BTS came out of those 7 doors! :) I think is the "Ironman" landing that they are doing! Spiderman ... close ... Haha!

The venue of the UNGA is in New York and BTS will be in the US until Sept 23. From their interview with the UN Undersecretary General, their performance was done Sunday prior to their actual speech which was yesterday at the GA 😊. So they are in the US at the UN for a diplomatic mission.

BTS are not the first performers at the UN, but it's a fairly short list. Beyonce and Shakira performed there, in 2012 and 2015, respectively. There have also been a few international stars that have performed at the UN building. They are the first group or artist from South Korea, though.

Hi. I don't know if you know that they are in the UN as Diplomats as they are holding Diplomatic Passports as official representative of the South Korea. UN is located in New York City. Side note the seven doors were they used coming out was donated by Canada. The designer of the seven door maybe decided to make it seven because he knew that seven guys will be using it the future which is now. Just joking.
