Hello I tried to follow your tutu but after creating the two small circle at the very beginning, and wanted to connect them with the = I got this message : "Failed to Solve. Please try revising dimensions or constraints". I don't understand I create at left a small circle with 10mm diameter and in the right another small circle with 7,21 mm diameter. What is the issue ? thank you.

These are some super awesome lessons. I'm getting into this as sort of a 3D printing hobby. WAAAAY back in the day I used to play those old space fighter sim games but we could only afford a pretty basic stick to play with. I'm planning on building something REALLY snazzy to play more modern games of the same kind on with the help of some arduino courses like these.

I plan to use fusion 360 for 3D printing and designing metal projects. i am a retired fabricator. I used SolidWorks for a few years and got good at using it for my business and looked at this in 2015 for use at home but couldn't justify the $30 a month for the hobbyist use. I tried the 30 - day trial and found it was just like the other program but a little different and was able to pick it right up and try some drawings. I haven't done any 3D modeling since and found I am very rusty at remembering this and that. Your videos are bringing it back to me. Thank you.

I've just bought a used 3d printer a month or so ago and I¨m all new to 3d printing and designing. But I just wanted to say that watching your project one and then this video has learned me a lot, and I've fallen completely in love with designing! It's hard for a 39-year old guy like me that NEVER have done anything like this before, but since I think it's so fun, I love the feeling I get everytime I learn something new! Looking forward to learn a lot through your videos, you're explaining it really good and slow so that a noob like me can be able to succeed lol. Thank you very much!

Thank You - learning for garage 3d printing. So how would you add text to the back arc that faces the reader and will follow the constrained arc you created?
@ProductDesignOnline
@ProductDesignOnline 4 жыл бұрын
Hi Ken. Unfortunately, Fusion 360's text command is very limited. There's no native or simple way to follow the text on a curve. You would have to create the letters individually and put them into place. Video on text command - kzbin.info/www/bejne/eJzTcqeDdq2nr7M

When you choose two lines/points to add a constraint (like the horizontal constraint here), how do you know whether the program will move the small circle to line up with the big circle, or if the big circle will move to match the small circles? I.e. In Tinkercad you select the items you want to align to each other, and then you click on the object you want to use as a reference point. This object will not move, and the other object will move in relation to the selected one. If the reference object is not selected, then both will move when the command is given, thus becoming aligned in the manner you choose, but often moving to a different area of the grid.

This is the second tutorial I've watched of your's and I like that you don't add a lot of superfluous information; VERY helpful to follow. Only thing I would probably add would maybe be keyboard shortcuts. ie Q for extrude, L for Line C for Circle etc... but again these are still very good as is. BTW 3D Printing in answer to your question. Subscribed - confused on the thumbs down though. I wish when people dislike they would offer a reason.

Thanks for the feedback, Doug. I do use/discuss the shortcuts throughout many of the videos. For example, in my 30 Days series, I show a few in each video - bit.ly/learn-fusion360 What types of 3D Printing projects do you work on? Cheers, Kevin :)

Just wanted to leave a thank you for this video, I'm new to 3D printing and the software seemed really intimidating, but now I have a baseline reference for interaction, I feel I can understand it a lot more!

Hi, Shawn. Thanks for the suggestion! I'm planning on starting a 3D Printing project series in the new year....so I'll definitely try to address more design decisions and manufacturing topics as they relate to various projects. Cheers, Kevin :)

I am trying to learn how to use Fusion 360 to create my own 3d models. I have had my Prusa MK3s+ for testing my prints. my overall goal is to be able to create my own 3d models and sell the prints or take on projects and have a small business. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated. I have followed some of the fusion 360 tutorials that you have done, you explain things very well! Thank you for your help and videos.
