The Quran did not specifically prohibit Slavery because prohibiting it would've resulted in a lot of poor people totally abandoned and left without any support whatsoever. Instead, slavery was transformed into a relationship where a person willfully stayed with his or her employer/ supporter and exchanged labor for sustenance. They could never be owned , controlled or prevented from seeking independence. So in short , freeing of slaves actually means giving independence.

Not really. Many understands well the thrust of the argument but one simply need more scholstic discourse rather then relying on opinion. Opinion must be tested and validated. Just because something has become sterile does not mean the source oe application is such. Qwite do you want me to do as the guy said : a short answer or a long one, no no no, I’m kidding 😂, well , Islam was conveyed to Muhammed pbuh, and the people who surrounded him received the message, they mastered the message ( they were there to receive it) and after receiving the message , them they served it to us!!!!, like when a chef serves a dish to you in a restaurant, islam was a dish you did not know what it was before the chef of the restaurant served it to you, now, wile you are eating the dish, you can ask about the recipe, you can argue that it could have been made better, prepared and distributed, you want to make it at home , you can, but, there is one thing!!!, the one thing you cannot do, in any way possible, that is my friend, you cannot claim the dish as your invention, unless, you are granted permission by the inventor of the dish, like KFC making you a general manager, or, you can, make a claim that the dish belongs to you and see what the court decides., you see how this relates, or it’s simply so because as any other argument, it’s just an argument, now, all arguments are weighed on a scale, a just scale is the one which will weigh the arguments without weighing to benefit the one who is making the argument, the scale has to be just, in his case , the scale is not weighing justly!, why!, , what I’m trying to say is that his argument is weighd on his private scale, his scale is constructed by his “messenger” of God, now , common sense dictates that, a messenger comes with a religious text, yet in his case the messenger lacked a message , he did not produce a message /religious text, so he found it as hi’s predecessors before him much easier to adopt what was already available, no to be fair, he did find the number 19 in the Quran, but that does not make you a prophet!!, imagine it was you who found out about the number 19, do you then have the right to proclaim yourself a prophet!, ( the rest that he speaks of were already there available), therefore the scale he is weighing with is like an intruders tool, that simply, makes his argument invalid, not in totality, only the main one, that his mentor was a prophet sent by Allah SWT, and that the sunnah of muhammed pbuh is idol worship!, that is the epitemy of delusion, yet thinking on this matter in entirety is a headache, but that said, it means that if his argument is valid, then every other argument made by other self proclaimed prophets of Islam during it’s history weigh equaly the same, that does not make sense, because then it all becomes a gibberish mesh of arguments and if weighed the same then none can come to the top, Unless, you do what is right and put the most reasonable one to the top first, and that is what you should do, anyway, plus , the reason why his arguments are weak is because, he or his prophet can not claim a religion which originally was revealed to someone else, there is something which we can all appreciate which is the right of ownership, if you can’t usurp apple company by making claims that it’s owners are not doing a good job, what makes you think you can usurp the position of a spokesman let alone a prophet of a religion!, let him force his was with apple and see what happens, yes, let him try , apple inc or any other company, they cam mess with God’s religion because the corporate laws do not cover it, but , what it comes down to is a mere choice of taste, if you are prone to accepting whatever it’s fed to you then , you are a “perfect consumer”, final thought: is this why they are so concentrated on producing another translated version of the Quran!! Now, this is my long answer😂

The biggest problem with Islam in the internet age is what I call a 'Hadeeth Centric Muslim'. Now, what is the definition of a hadeeth-centric Muslim? A Hadeeth Centric Muslim is one who is so enamoured by the beauty or the truth found in the hadeeth collections, which the Prophet himself never approved of, they were documented more than 150 years after the Prophet, he is so fascinated by the beauty, that he is unable to see the deceptive ugliness which has been thrown into the hadeeth collection by the enemies of Truth, and these enemies have existed through Islamic history, right from Adam, to Noah, to Abraham, to Musa, to Esa, and to the last and final Prophet, Muhammad (Peace be upon them all). A hadeeth-centric Muslim is someone, who, when it comes to issues (e.g. Apostasy, Adultery, Blasphemy, Prophet's character, preservation of the Quran, treatment of Homosexuals, treatment of women, treatment of Jews, treatment of Christians, treatment of non-Muslims, forced conversions, basically everything which makes Islam look ugly or crazy), so although there is clear a contradiction between the Quran and the hadeeth, one who goes with hadeeth based interpretation, instead of Quran-centric interpretation is an official 'hadeeth-centric Muslim' for whom the honour of a book like Bukhari and Muslim is far more important, than the honour of his Prophet, or the honour of Islam or even the honour of Allah himself. Also, such a Muslim is also someone who is obsessed with his Scholars their "SCHOLARLY opinions, fatwas, and khauls' even when they clearly go against the ayaat of Allah himself. If you are a Muslim reading this, please choose if you wanna be hadeeth-centric Muslim or a Quran-centric Muslim. Being Quran-centric does not mean you dump all hadeeths but dump only those which contradict the Quran, demonizes the character of the Prophet (Pbuh) or goes against the spirit of Islaam,

I feel the correct meaning can be understood if we look at other verses in the Quran. First , the word daraba is used in response to nushooz and this i believe is in context of adultery or the wife being unfaithful. There is another verse which says that women are to be forced to remain in their homes if they indulge in fahsha. So clearly the daraba is referring to exerting pressure or restraining a partner if she insists on her illicit behavior.

Does this 19 thing validate the use of the Gregorian calendar?
@edipyuksel4 жыл бұрын
Yes. 19 uses both Gregorian and the Hicri, since both are used by humans. If God sent his messengers with the languages made and used by people, then why the same God not send message in their calendars. Gregorian calendar is the most commonly used calendar. Here is a simple and prophetic fact: The number 19 is mentioned only in chapter 74 (The Hidden one) and its meaning and functions were unveiled in year 1974, exactly 19x74 lunar years after the revelation of the Quran by a person whose name (Rashad) mentioned in the Quran exactly 19 times. Besides, the first sentence of the Chapter 74, which consists of two verses, contains exactly 19 letters with numerical values adding up to 1974. Think on it!

However these legends who explained the Qurān and Sunnah to laymen because of their in-depth knowledge into the sciences of the Qurān, Sunnah, Hadith, Arabic language etc were still humble and privileged enough to remain as ‘Servants of Allāh’, they didn’t all of sudden become ‘Messengers of Allāh’ just because they discovered some bizarre numerical code in the Qurān 1400 year later! Food for thought 😉

The momentous discovery that "19" is the Quran's common denominator became a reality in January 1974, coinciding with Zul-Hijjah 1393 A.H. The Quran was revealed in 13 B.H. (Before Hijrah). This makes the number of years from the revelation of the Quran to the revelation of its miracle 1393 + 13 = 1406 = 19x74. As noted above, the unveiling of the Miracle took place in January 1974. The correlation between 19x74 lunar years and 1974 solar years could not escape notice. This is especially uncanny in view of the fact that "19" is mentioned in Sura 74. Salam Mufti, thank you for an amazing and engaging mind trap session. I had mistyped a word in the verse during the live stream chat. But my question was as follows. Doesn't the verse و تلك نعمة تمنها علي ان عبدت بني إسرائيل in surat shu'ara, verse 22, categorically imply that slavery should not be practiced, and Allah is against it? For it would be sort of hypocritical of God to be against it when it is against a believing people (in this case the children of Israel), but allow it when it is against people of other beliefs or no beliefs.
@aleefmohammed2444 жыл бұрын
What we call “slaves” are actually house helpers or maids in today’s societies , like how kings was a term used for civilization living thousands of years ago, but today we call them presidents and Politicians. Slavery is a vague term. If someone work for you but you did not pay them , then that is slavery , even though you did not physically abuse them.

I started questioning everything , the 5 pillars of islam , No shahada in the Quran , it say believe . Salah isn't a prayer , but to resume it it's to get connected or to reach up to , ( by Quran ) ie Allah make SALAH (Not prayer) upon the prophet ...and that's not exclusif to the prophet , he make salah upon us too , what they say is a blessing ...what's that blessing ? It's obviously the revelation . Perform Salah , it means perform what's in the Quran . Zakah (Money ) ...in Quran it's called Nafaqa or Sadaqah , they twisted the zakah ( self elevating or purification of soul ) into few coins you need to pay . Fasting ... Allah clearly said to marriem to eat and drink when he asked her to fast . I didn't get into hajj , but i just read in the comment some suggestions to watch a video , i forgot the title but i can go back to history and i can find it . I even questioned the Adhan (the call to prayer) Allah Akbar is not in Quran , Allah never called him self this , but you find Al Kabeer Al Mout3al , Al 3aliyou Al kabeer . Now my question is , how to convince family members about all these , as soon as i have tried , i got really aggressive reaction , so i decided to do it in the right time coz i don't want to lose my closest family . Anyway i just find out about this gentlemen , i don't know what his takes on all practices , but all what he said it's on the dot , you cannot argue any point , coz truth always prevails .

When we hear "mathematics" we understand it to mean "perfection" or "symmetrical" ie everything adding up meaning no loose ends looking perfect like a flower perfectly round or heavenly bodies moon sun perfectly round so our understanding sub consciously when we think mathematics we think perfection....so when we treat the quran or see it not as a mathematical phenomena we close the book when actually we are only closing our own minds.

I might add that if the Quran is so easy to understand and apply, such that ordinary people can derive rulings from it, why does Mr. Yuksel’s translation include an UTTERLY MASSIVE number of footnotes? I am not saying that he is always right or wrong in his interpretations, and he brings our many good points about social and religious problems in modern Islamic societies; but all this commentary on the Quran does get in the way of his Quran Only methodology… Are we not just trading Hadiths of Muhammad (sas) for Hadiths of Edip Yuksel? Another issue is his distancing himself on key issues from his mentor Rashad Khalifa, including the important claim still held by the Masjid Tucson group that Mr. Khalifa’s translation (including footnotes and appendices) is ‘authoritative’ and hence free from error. You can witness this at the beginning of the interview. Problem is that without Dr. Khalifa, Edip Yuksel might still be the Sunni radical that he once was! In watching his many videos and reading several of his books, it seems that he still believes that Rashad Khalifa was a Messenger sent by GOD to reform Islam, and bring to light this 19 Miracle. But now he is saying-albeit a bit sheepishly in this interview-that Mr. Khalifa was wrong on certain issues, which means his Quranic translation (or rather, his Quran in English) is not to be trusted. Well how does a Messenger who was supposedly in direct contact with GOD make mistakes? One of the important issues, as I have mentioned, is the prayer. Mr. Khalifa interprets the ‘Milliat’ of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) mentioned in the Quran as the intact religion of Islam as we know of, complete with specific Rakats of Arabic prayer and as well as rules for Hajj, as if this was all being practiced before the time of Muhammad by the people of Mecca. This is what Hazrat Isa’s (Jesus Christ’s) disciples would have practiced as well. Now any biblical scholar or educated Jew would just laugh at this theory, and Edip has understandably moved himself away from it, seeing only three daily prayers in the Quran, rather than five, and I suppose he has gotten rid of other details of the Salaat as well, which the Quran does not mention (the Quran does not even specific reciting Al-Fatiha, for example…). But for starters, without a specific procedure, how do these Quranists pray in congregation behind an Imam? Wouldn’t they just bump into one another? And you would infer that if three was the original number of prayers, then at least SOME groups SOMEWHERE would have preserved that, or at least there would be a historical record of a time when some Sunni authorities after the time of Bukhari has to root out these Quranists and bring them in line with the new dogma. But where is the historical evidence of such a period of enforced conformity to a new norm? (The Shia’s believe in joining together certain prayers out of convenience into three, as Sunnis do during travel. But they still BELIEVE in five prayers.) In sum, Mr. Edip’s current theories are the eventual outcome of the Quran Only way of thinking; but his biggest elephant in the room is that he still accepts Dr. Khalifa as a messenger, and again, how does a messenger of ALLAH get things so bloody wrong? Why did Mr. Yuksel pray 5 times a day with the Masjid Tucson group before Rashad’s death, and then change his mind afterward? Is he claiming revelation himself? My instinct as a Muslim after years of investigation and reflection is that you must take your Islam from the esteemed Auliya throughout the ages, such as Hazrat Abdul-Qadir Jilani, and Ibn Arabi, who have reached such levels of purity and devotion, that their relationship to Muhammad, his family, and companions (Peace be upon them all) is a living and direct one. Muhammad (sas) is not dead. Salaam, brothers and sisters in Islam.

@mrnomad17373 жыл бұрын
Even the secular law uses jurisprudance and concept of precedance. He is conflating many things using a reductive argument to discredit the tradition. Many do not see hadith as devine but these are classed as source material. Scholar uses Quran as yardstick to guage hadith. This is actuslised in Hanafi and Malaki school.
