It is sad that this intelligent man was fought out of the university

I find the professor's arguments reasonable; it appears because she the VC's niece, she must not render a service to the University. I implore the listeners/readers to take time to listen to the Prof as well. By me, Nyanzi seems to be the problem. I'm a University employee as well; I find it unthinkable that I ca refuse to teach. Nepotism at its best!

Then she should be warned officially and consequently fired but not locking out of office. But if she's mobbed just because the uncle is a VC then the problem is the system not one singled out!

Who should warn and fire her? When the party concerned here wrote to the people responsible for giving a recommendation in 2014 and no attention has been drawn to the matter because she is a niece to VC. In your thinking do you imagine that someone unknown to VC would do the same en still be working in that institution? Unless you didnt listen critically to what Mamdani was trying to point out! Human resource and VC were supposed to provide a stand or an advice to Mamdani on the stance of Nyazi en since 2014 nothing is done. She goes on playing on people's minds "I will teach" she gets what she wants en she doesn't, ? what do you call that?

@@mwendapoleee if the uncle is the one that's suppose to issue the warning and he doesn't do that, the Prof will only take steps that are within his Authority and I think he did. When the head practices nepotism, yes that taints the institution and can therefore be agreed that the system is compromised. It's really sad that this happened, these are the problems we face in the whole continent

I studied university in Canada. .You will go for Lectures and, take exams even when you have not paid .You are given time and allowed to pay instalments month by month . But only catch they will allow you to graduate but yiu will not get your Diploma or degree paper till you pay all balance owing ..This is simple and fair.. Uganda Ministry of Education need to Stop corruption.and unfair prejudice..Mwebereremu.

Is it sensible to use an office of an institution for your personal research and still have the audacity to refuse to do anything for that institution? A reasonable person would offer to pay rent for it.

Yes, if one is certain of impunity - which seems to be the case in the context outlined by the professor.

+mwendapoleee So what are you arguing? What kind of employment shall we have where employees choose to use official facilities for personal business and to no benefit of the employer? I thought this problem was uniquely Zambian - it appears pan-African to me! very disappointing because it involves a PhD holder, intelligent personality. Is this the meaning of feminism? defending the unreasonable because it involves a female who cries victim? Cry beloved Africa!

+P. F. Fyeeke This lady is a fellow human being and a mother I don't know the details but something is not rite ,just to lock somebody out of her working place with her back against the wall. Stop this colonial kind of rules!

Ugandans we are so hypocritical!! When you make noise that there is mismanagement of resources by the people in power which is very true but how how do you call using an institution's office for personal business? where they pay you to work for them but you use it for your own personal work on addition to being paid a salary! I don't see were colonialism is coming in here my Brother.
