Had some xp with Motion Capture (was almost Leon in new RE Remakes) and even though Capcom has always created a seriously fluid and accurate movement animations and fight choreography for Street Fighters (were using MoCap before it was industry standard) - they outdid themselves with SF6. People who do something they are paid for who take that thing seriously and excel at it are professional. This girl knows the lore behind her cosplays and avoids characters she doesn't feel she can do justice, she is open about her strengths and weaknesses and has done research into portraying her roles (the stuff about the whip is someone who has used and trained with a whip they are dangerous). Going around under hot lights surrounded by thirsty strangers and wearing tight and revealing clothing that often comes with uncomfortable hair and makeup accessories is not always going to be fun. She maintains a positive outlook on that anyway. That is professional. Half the people who hate on cosplay girls have burger jobs that they suck at. None of them would ever last 20 minutes doing what models have to do. So. Suck a butt and leave a girl alone. Yes she is hot, she's getting paid and she don't want to date you.

I had an atomic heart fit commissioned at one point (basically mechanic overalls spiced up) and dokidoki wanted 1 grand for the SSR version, while some experienced small-scale cosplay ateliers only wanted 200 bucks. Quality would’ve been much better with the latter too.

@ Yep. Eastern European prices and Asian prices. Ordering from big name firms is an easy way to lose money easily. Again, mechanic overalls are not worth 1 grand. And most cosplays do not utilise metal parts unless there exist pre-made ones that can be fitted to it. I looked up your character. You’d probably be paying around 400-500 bucks for a good Eastern European Atelier to make something similar. I’m also working with a cosplayer that primarily sews his own outfits (and participated in world championships in Korea) and even he says you can probably get it custom made for cheaper than that. The metal coating on the shoulders is another story, but that’s basically just brass or chrome gold colored plastic you can print. Saying that as a prop maker btw.
