I can't speak to monetization because that's not a goal of mine, but what keeps me going creatively is expanding beyond my "niche" to gain reasonably adequate skills in other niches. For instance, a car salesman I met while buying a vehicle awhile back is a fantastic bird photographer. That inspired me to try my hand at it (spoiler alert: birds are terrible models, which is why it's quite challenging to master bird photography). The other thing that inadvertently got creative juices going was adapting vintage lenses to my modern mirrorless camera and seeing what happens. Now I have dozens of old lenses all over my office...and they're a hoot to use!

Interestingly enough, I launched my photography business last November. Lot's to still do, but you are correct in that, CHASEING YOUR DREAMS is worth the work. You mentioned you being "Lite" at one point in your video. Now I know what you meant, but one must ponder the hysterics happening in the car. LOL!! 🤔🤔🤔🤔 I love the stars above you in the image. Nice to Iouch. Poor James, he just quit his job and now he is a limo driver for the queen!! 😂😂😂😂 Fun vid Lyndsay!!

Hi Sarah. A couple of movie references. 1) You had me at Hello....and 2) The Billy Crystal movie, City Slickers, is all about That One Thing! If you have not seen that movie, please go and watch it. I thought the use of the low angle and the star composite was fantastic. Very unique and really showed off the yellow dress portrait. Not sure what you don't like about the posing? You were facing the light which is great and all I could think of would be if the dress could be larger as if it could be blowing in the wind. Great location and surprised you had not been there before. Excellent video as always.

Looks like you had a lot of fun just getting to the location. Did you go to the dinosaur museum? I would have liked to stop by there on my trip, but just didn't have the time. Calgary offers so many great areas to shoot. I like the finished image with the night sky.

I love the concept you were going for here. As an avid nightscape shooter myself it warms my heart to see this. My only issue with the image is the distant brown hill on the right of the image. I wish you were able to setup a composition that did not show it.

it's all good and well these pictures , when you do it professional and can make a buck out of it , but when i hear someone tell the person who just selfied them in 2 seconds flat : '' thank you for the memories '' , my mind just goes : ''WHAT now ?'' pictures have Become ''memories'' in the real sense of the word and people are forgetting How To Remember things , ''human memories'' are now stored on SD cards , apparently
