Great technique! I use to use just one stereo delay. But using two delays, second one gently off time and darker/brighter is genious! Thanks David!

WOW! Another super trick,, Going to try your idea using a tap delay to try to save on DSP..Thanks for sharing so much...

That's a good-sounding set of delays. I agree that they sound much better with 'verb on the delays in this case. Together they create a nice acoustic space. The verse chords on that song are very interesting.

I'm gonna try this on my next track. Great tutorial as always man, thanks!

D 16 Repeater seems to be ideal delay plugin for that, because it has all controls independent per channel.

Studio one 3 has it either, you can split every channel/fx/bus by L/R and frequencies, but for me it's less effort to use Repeater, anyway, great tip !!! I aslo find it very interesting adding some distortion after delay, instead of reverbs ;)

Nice one. I prefer delays through reverb on vocals, too, but have not tried that excessive delays. Quite a compelling song btw.

Hello...thanks for the quick reply i see what u mean. It seems like i will need 4 in total to be able to reproduce this effect....not good for cpu haha! Will try a workaround that will suit me..nice tricks again.

Thank you for these great tips. Do you know how I can choose between mono/dualmono delay (for the H delay e.g.) in Ableton live? Otherwise I do not know how to achieve this in Ableton. :/ Thank you, Fabian

+MixbusTV Thank you for you answer. So I have to open four mono channels, right? 16th left & right and 8th left & right? This is something I hate Ableton & love ProTools for.
