Great stuff as always sir! I learned a few things from @neilmelansonmma that have helped me as well. He says start the choke early meaning get your shoulder driving down in to their neck right away and then, my favorite, "don't let the crook rob you of the choke" - make sure you have good choking pressure from your bicep, no gap btwn their neck and your arm caused by the crook of your arm.

At minute 5:09 you say that the oponent does a mistake if he frames with his other arm, because you can go for an arm bar. Why should that be a mistake? Defending a nearly finished arm triangle is worth it. Especially since the arm bar isn't even properly set up at that point and you would have to still do alot of things which gives him more ways to escape. And having an oponent doing an arm bar is always preferable to an oponent doing an arm triangle because he has to give up position. Is there something I don't understand? Then please help me.
@codytolley72392 ай бұрын
Because of the way the guy on bottom flared his elbows to escape it allowed the guy on top to get very high s mount which is a horrible place to be. You go from having 1 arm compromised to 2, and the armbar from that position is very easy to get. You could get that armbar from that exact position if you wanted to.
@BMO4ever2 ай бұрын
@@codytolley7239 but at that point the arm triangle is almost inavitable I think so giving position to survive is no problem I thought.

Comedy is cheesy in this and when you're already over explaining like most coaches do because they like the attention, add the bad comedy makes it even longer. Nothing new learned here too.
