Azazel and what Azazel did is documented in the Book of Enoch. Azazel was a fallen angel and a high ranking one. Azazel taught man the art of war, how to make armor, and how to make weaponry. Azazel was locked away in the Duadel by God and the archangels until the Day of Judgment when Azazel will be cast into the lake of fire.

Likewise, in the 7 Cups/Blood Atonement of Revelation, the Anti-New Jerusalem/Eden/Holy of Holies, Babylon, Mother and city of all Abominations and uncleanness, is removed after sprinkling 7 times, and the Beast/goat horn of Daniel 8 and the False Prophet with 2 horns (Nicolaites/Abominations/Anti-Commandments and Balaam/ uncleanness/Anti-Witness), are driven out, alive, from the presence of God, like the goat with sins driven out alive into the wilderness. And in those days, the sanctuary is cleansed (Yom Kippur), the 2300 days of Daniel 8.

I can’t express how much this understanding has just blessed me! Biblical uncleanness and the instructions of Leviticus have nothing to do with guilt or with sex (within marriage) or bodily fluids being bad or shameful! Rather it was meant to teach God’s people and help them meditate upon the holiness of God and how much higher and different in nature is he in heaven relative to human life on Earth, and to give recognition to this before coming into his presence. 🙏✨

I assumed the Awakening School of Theology and Ministry that Mike teaches these videos for was aimed mainly at those looking to "formally" go into some type of church ministry. So I emailed the Admissions department of the school and asked and was told it was not directed at people going into ministry but at anyone wanting to gain a better understanding of God. Glad to know that. Also learned that you don't have to take the entire course (4 semesters) if you choose not to. I may just enroll in the first semester in February and see if it's for me. I'm not a huge fan of academics, so that's also helpful to know. The actual vision stated from the school's web site says this: " The vision of our school is to prepare students to think well and be loyal disciples of Jesus." Also helpful to know.

Heiser fills a large void for people who want more insight into the truth behind the biblical words, passages and themes without denominational noise. A void that is not being addressed by many/most seminaries. Well, except seminaries filter the Bible through their doctrines and warped interpretations.
@seankh562
@seankh562 3 жыл бұрын
@@baltichammer6162 You are spot on using the word "void" friend! I sometimes wonder if many of us spend most of our time worshiping a physical book rather than the "author" of that Book! I have a background deeply rooted in the denomination calling itself Churches of Christ. There was a heavy emphasis put on memorizing passages of Scripture, but little time stressing "active" belief in the one who provides Scripture. "All Scripture is God-breathed". What first drew me to Mike and his teachings was his fascination with the supernatural world view of those found in Scripture. Sure, it's one thing to talk about Jonah being in the belly of a whale, but quite another thing to actually believe that the event happened in history. Yeshua obviously believed the event happened when he mentioned Jonah to the religious leaders. But our "logical," western, reasoning minds rooted in science and facts will quickly dismiss the possibility of events like that. I want to know who this invisible God is and what he's up to with this crazy world we live in. I sometimes step back and shake my head at the things taught in Scripture that I base my belief in. A prophet having a conversation with his donkey. A woman having a child without the normal process of child birth. A dead man coming back to life. These things are the very things we tell our children are make believe. As Nichodemus said to Yeshua, "How can this be?!" And as Felix said to Paul, "Paul, your great learning has driven you mad!" These things are either true or they are not. And if we decide that they are, our lives need to reflect that claimed belief.

@@seankh562 I don't disagree with anything you said. Heiser has made the point many times that congregations really want more substance, not the other way around. And they are capable of handling this "deeper" level of biblical study. Even young people are looking for meat instead of cheese puffs in church or flashy lights and "cool". I've read two newspaper articles written about how to get teens/young adults back in the pews. One article was in the Washington Post of all papers! The gist of both articles was GenX or GenABC can see right through the shallow phony "gospel" in their churches ironically liberalized to attract and keep younger folks. No, the opposite of "common knowledge" is what can attract them back. In the Wash Post piece the writer shopped around and settled in with Eastern Orthodox for its stability and not bending to irrelevent fluff of modern times.

@@seankh562 I can't remember chapters, verses or passages, but situations I can. My mind divides the Bible for some reason, its how I get around in time&place&words. I read it as a mystery bio., words&situations catch my mind. Reading "John's use of the OT in Revelation" now, even the authors words brings situations to mind before he puts chapter or verse to explaining/saying. My mind works more than not backwards first, & no I wasn't hit in the head at childbirth. 🤭 I go to root before forward, strange but true. I like the way Mike puts, explains & digs the verse/person/situation out on the table. I got sorta a library & some from his recommendations, talk about eyes open. Outside books sometimes show/tell part of happening situations. So I thank Mike.

[If] someone/something can create creatures that can create life, give these creatures a place to live & flourish & set animals to survive, but trust humans & to forgive and not forgive/memory and create a chaos on earth that even man can't I pretty much think there is someone in charge. If you can put yourself into a different generation thinking/environment you can get into the living of others. Doing genealogy helped me alot in finding papers of proof. By reading the Bible with western/2020 eyes will not get you anywhere. Maybe thinking like a pioneer could help, not just the people but their surroundings & what they had on hand. We may never think as a Israelite but some feelings of them are told in the Bible story. I'm stopping before my 1 IQ shows it self.

Just read the entire chapter Dr. Heiser reference here; Leviticus 16:33, "Then he shall make atonement for the Holy Sanctuary, and he shall make atonement for the tabernacle of meeting and for the alter and he shall make atonement for the priests and for all the people of the assembly." This is inclusion of multiple recipients of atonement is consistent throughout the chapter. To restrict the "atonement" simply to "sacred space" requires ignoring the clear meaning of the text.

His teaching on what was really going on in that book made it extremely fascinating! Again, he was teaching us how to think about it as an ancient israelite would have. How often we impose our world view and modern christian theology upon the old testament. Like he stated, we should look at how the authors of the new testament were drawing upon old testament concepts and thought for some guidance.

@@undignified2843 Yes ... The writings (Books) of Enoch were so fascinating to me - The Watchers gives more inept insight into what was happening in Genesis chap 6 that prompted TMH to send the flood. It also gives understanding & commentary to Matthew 24 when Jesus says "As it was in the Days of Noah, so shall in be [the same things happening] when I return." ... So we know from Enoch more detailed information about what was going on Before the flood - the Fallen taught them science! How to mix DNA among other things - And, look where we are now, science/technology is actually Fallen Angel knowledge. ... Enoch is important to bible prophesy & End Time prophesies. Enoch is not contrary to the Bible, it actually highlights the Bible; adds commentary.

It’s really hard to not see the “otherness” of Yahweh, his thought processes, and his culture/kingdom in the OT. The whole purpose of Israel back then was about sacred space and fellowship with God whether you are at the tabernacle/temple or not. Strangely, that is precisely the meaning behind “church” in the NT. It’s not a building, it’s a culture...centered around Yahweh. Mike, your Leviticus series on the podcast blew the doors open to me seeing then parallels between the priesthood and the kingdom priest/temple in the NT. Thank you Sir. God bless you!!

In 2012, I was "contacted"( telepathically) by my watcher,against God's law. To make an 8 months story short, and arrive at the subject of the video, I had over a month telepathic comunications with the devil. When I asked him if he had a name, he responded "Azazel". I had never heard the name, so he directed me to the Google page ( not kidding he asked me to Google him), which I did,and there was his name. So, Azazel "was" may not be correct, Azazel "is" still around.

I'm guessing you've never read Roman's 5, because that 1 Enoch passage is in total contradiction to it. Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law. Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come. But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many. And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification. For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.) Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound: That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord. - Romans 5:12‭-‬21 KJV All sin is to ADAM not a fallen angel, Azazel

Clean land is very important; when Naäman was healed from lepracy, he asked Elishah for ground from Elishah's place after he gave his life to YHWH. He explained that the king whom he served made him go into the temple of the idol that the king worshiped. Naäman wanted to stand on "holy ground" inside the temple of the idol. Elishah granted his request, by telling Naäman he could take as much as he wanted. I hope it helps. God bless and keep you and your loved ones into eternity.

In reading Dr. Heisers books I've started to think that contrary to popular Christian belief wilderness, i.e. unmodified nature, is not Edenic but quite the opposite. Modern Christian minds seem to see only evil in modifying nature (agriculture etc.) but that doesn't sound like the Biblical view. The idea of a garden that man shapes out of chaotic nature in cooperation with God seems more accurate. I'd love Dr. Heiser to really get into this idea sometime.

If Adam's time in the Garden of Eden was training for his future responsibilities as God's representative to run the whole Earth, then it is evident that managing the environment around us in a way which supports and encourages it's continued abundance is exactly what is intended by the term: "Dominion". I'd say your observation is spot on!

Yes, it is loss for their families and us, but they were chosen to operate in this life closer to "On earth as it is in heaven" and YHWH called them to heaven. They are both doing exploits on our behalf that we cannot fathom. Praise God but our human hearts feel the loss. 😢

I found the book of Jasper to make the Sons of Jacob look like some kind of super heroes. It has some weird stories, but then it also has some interesting bits of information about other things like stories about the flood and things from around that time. You can’t say it’s all true like the Bible, but then it’s not all just made up either. You have to use it with discretion. It does contain good information. Enoch as well. I like the part where it describes the ark in the flood waters as being like a box on a white- water river getting tumbled all over and the animals having a rough ride. Also part where it describes men learning how to manipulate the genetics of animals.

Paul D. Wegner writes in Cowan & Wilder’s In Defense of the Bible: A Comprehensive Apologetic for the Authority of Scripture (2013) that “Fusion. Incorrect word division that results in two words being joined as one. An illustration in English would be, “the man held his handout” (rather than hand out). Fusion probably appears in the MT of Leviticus 16:8: “And Aaron shall cast lots for the two goats, one for the LORD and the other for Azazel ( לַעֲזאָזלֵ , laʽăzāʼzēl)” (see also vv. 10, 26). Medieval rabbis identified Azazel as a hairy desert demon,22 but why would Aaron give one of the goats to a demon? It makes more sense to divide the name in two, לָעַז אֹזלֵ (lāʽaz ʼōzēl “for the goat of departure [or ‘going away’],” referring to the goat that is led off into the desert. This reading is supported by the LXX and Vulgate.” However, each situation given by Dr. Heiser and Wegner is of great interest.
